Should Ottawa adopt a national bullying strategy?

Bullying is a result of culture and social practise. It would be difficult to institute a national bullying strategy when religion, politics, capitalism, and most media campaigns are based on bully tactics. (the hate campaigns we are subject to during elections is only one example). The overly-competitive aspects of modern day human culture are everywhere. How about first putting a stop to bullying within the natural world, the workplace, or even a question period during which no member is shouted down or heckled? If adults are incapable of refraining from bullying, how are we to expect our children to rise above this taught behaviour. The only anti-bullying campaign that might have any chance of success is to stop idolizing power, money, and sexuality, begin letting go of our overinflated egos, and possible then lead by example. It is timed we humans learned to love not only ourselves, but fellow life on the planet.
