@EdT : You would have to pay ME to ride on anything made in China.

Another tax grab in the making !

I literally laugh off my chair when the head of STM said they needed more money to upkeep the Metro cars and buses. Have Montrealers already forgot that the new Metro cars cost over $2 billion more than the closest bids from the Spanish and Chinese firms ? Have they forgotten that for $2 billion more they are not getting Metro cars with A/C ? A journalist for the Montreal Gazette did some calculations that it would have been cheaper to keep the 850 workers at Bombardier home for five years and paid them annually salary of $60,000 and taxpayers would still come out ahead by $150 million in the end !

Montreal got rid of trams in the 50s for a good reason, lets keep it that way !

Absolutely the LAST thing Montreal needs now is more construction, disruption, diversion of traffic, blocking off of streets and the tearing up of the city's road surfaces to lay down rails, and put up power lines.

Your poll is too limited as there are other options which make more sense. Trolley buses are a much better solution - cheaper too (no rails to install) and more flexible (they're not confined to rails).
