Who wore pink better?

Sorry peeople for all the bad comments that have been posted on here. First of all, Mrs. Ann Romney is a much older woman than the First Lady and she was naturally walking, not posing for a shot unlike Michelle. Hands down, Ann defintely wore it better. The mini-jacket that Mrs. Obama is using is too small for a lady of her stature. I disagree with the idea Mrs. Romney's dress was inappropriate for her age. Other than the size of the jacket, Michelle's outfit wasn't too bad.

I think both ladies pull of their respective outfits beautifully. I prefer Mrs. Obama's look because it is more conservative and age-appropriate. I really liked Mrs. Romney's accessories, but I think the dress was too youthful for her along with the green fingernails. With that said, she still looked very nice. If I was a clothing designer I would definitely furnish both women with complimentary outfits given that they will be seen by millions of people. I assume this is the case, especially with Mrs. Obama. Much less expensive for a clothing designer to provide free clothes to a public figure than it is to purchase a print or television advertisement.

Ms President...u go girl...u look wonderful..and if I spent a cent to make my first lady look as good as you do..I say bill me because you suppose to represent!

  • evelyn - 11 years ago

Both ladies dressed impeccably well. I am proud of Ann with 5 sons and aged 60+ still could be so charming and ladylike.

    Michelle should emulate her.

Sad there are such hateful comments.
The question was who wore pink better. It just required a name. Shame on you

Michelle Obama won this hands down. She accessorized the right way. Every person is entitled to their own opinion, I agree. The comment about the price of the Obamas' clothing is unnecessary. They dress presentable and classy. Someone will always find something wrong with what they wear. People have a ideology of what the POTUS and FLOTUS should look like, wear, talk, act, and go. Some of these ideologies are very unobtainable. The Obamas does very well to handle themselves under the constant scrutiny.

Ann Romney looks like an alcoholic playing dress up...her accessories are horrible with the dress and it doesnt match her red eyes....maybe allergies...hmmmm

  • Maria Manuel - 11 years ago

The First Lady won this one.... Better color for her complexion and the cut of the dress is flattering... Ann Romney did not listen to the old rule... " take one accessory off before you step out of the house"...

  • onyata - 11 years ago

I prefer Ann Romney's attire...I think she epitomizes style & class. I even appreciate her chosen accessories :)
No matter who you are it all comes down to balance-no matter your size and stature.

What tickles me are the comments about Michelle's size like she can change her height. The amazon comment displays your underlying racism. Tax payers dollars for J Crew dresses?!?! Bwahahaha hilarity. Ann looks like a bottle of pepto no wonder she gives me indigestion.

  • Leslie - 11 years ago

Those who voted for Michele are just voting because they are Obama fans. Any true fashionista can clearly see that Anns ensemble wins hands down. Ann's dress and accessories just compliment each other better. And for the record I am a democrat.

"Ann Romney is the image and character of what a true first lady should be"
Really, why because she is white and rich and never worked a day in her life. Oh, OK.
Michelle is a classy REAL women that most of us can relate to; a mother, supportive wife and someone who has worked hard for everything she has (education/jobs). I think she looked better in the pink, simply because I thought Ann's accessories were a little too much-period.
Why am I trying to defend things, just look at the voting results--they speak for themself; 69% MO 31% AR!

Like a couple of the comments made above regarding who wore it well, I believe that both
ladies looked fabulous! Different in style both designs were, but equally attractive. And, Mrs.
Obama I'm sure spends her husband's money, not just from his salary, but from the gigantic sales of the 2 biographies he has written. I think that each woman in their own right are both
beautiful. That very bright pink is a great color, and I think that both ladies did it justice. And, I agree with the comment that Susan Lewis made above that Ann Romney does look a bit untidy
because of her MS. but still looking great just the same. It's been a long road, but she manages to keep up. Lucinda

Moochelle has 23 Personal Assistants and still manages to look terrible!!!! Ann Romney could make a Hefty Bag look good. Ann Romney has more class in her little finger than Moochelle has in her entire body.....She shouldn't even try to compete with Ann she will never win...Moochelle poster child for NO CLASS!!!!

  • Jurocke - 11 years ago

Michelle has a great figure, again...one people pay big money to have! The "Amazon" comments is one of the reasons so many people have eating disorders. I think both women look great, however I believe Michelle looked more polished. And to the commentor who said Michelle always looks tacky...I'm curious to see what your wardrobe consists of! Get a life!

  • Vicki - 11 years ago

This was not the most flattering of colors for Mrs. Romney. The intent was to call attention to the battle for breast cancer survival, and that was accomplished. Michelle does look nice, but also is obviously posed (?air brushed?). Anne's look is decidedly appropriate although I'm not much a fan of her accessories. Most importantly, Anne has a 'real' smile on her face as she greets someone as opposed to the 'posed' smile of the camera happy Michelle.

If anyone is going to comment about someone else, they don't need to put down the other person...just rave about who YOU voted for and that's it...because if you don't have anything GOOD to say about another person...then KEEP YOUR NEGATIVE COMMENTS TO YOUR NEGATIVE SELF!!! But, people are so bias today that they can't handle the truth!!!....YEAH!!!!...FOR MICHELLE OBAMA!!!!!...BEST DRESSED!!!!!!

  • Rzerwer - 11 years ago

Michele with one L. Jenny I agree with you - she is amazon size and she needs to get rid of that wide belt she wears up to breast. Tazpayers pay their salary people! How many of you can pay $750 for a pair of tennis shoes. I can't!!!

  • td - 11 years ago

I don't understand the hype and "love" MO gets - she is tacky - and worthless I might add!

    totally agree Jenny!!

  • ErinTippin - 11 years ago

I actually like both dresses but Mrs. Obama accessorized better.

  • Susan Lewis - 11 years ago

    Michelle wins, hands down.

Ann is a pretty lady, but she needed a warmer shade of pink, it would have been more flattering.

Ann looks a tad rough, probably an MS flare up.

Running for President may be good for Mitt, but it's too much stress for Ann. MS is made wprse by stress.

Hope she's going to be ok.

  • Sam Jacobsen - 11 years ago

Ann Romney is the true winner. I don't understand why people think Michelle Obama is stylish. She dresses rather cheap and tacky in my opinion.

  • dancer92136 - 11 years ago

I think that they both wore their pink beautifully in support of Breast Cancer Awareness. I don't think it is just a random color choice. And I think most of the nast polarizing comments above are ridiculous and devisive.

  • Michele with one L - 11 years ago

For all you haters the President and the First Lady do receive an income that comes from the US taxpayers not from the private sector. Again while we are struggling to make ends meet the Obamas wear nice clothes and dont give back to charity to the extent they claim to care about the poor and middle class.

  • Stephanie - 11 years ago

Michelle constantly looks dumpy. I cannot understand why anyone would even consider her a fashion icon. In the past 4 years whenever she stands next to a female in the spotlight she looks terrible. Kate Middleton, El Salvador's first lady Vanda Pignato, France's First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, Oprah, even Jill Biden (just so you know I am not being political) they all look so polished, but Michelle? Ugh! Her high waisted look with the thick belt just under her boobs. Please! She COULD be very classy, but she is not. Last night was her typical bolo jacket that really doesn't do her figure justice. If I have to see her arms one more time I might scream. They aren't all that. Really! Well, the two poses that were chosen did favor Michelle, she was sitting down, you can't tell how she looks except she is looking into the camera and smiling. The shot of Ann was walking and not wouldn't be completely flattering of anyone taken and she was obviously in the middle of greeting someone. Let's get a real side by side, same pose. Then we will see who truly looks better. Ann Romney!

  • Straw57 - 11 years ago

I completely agree Ann Romney wins the day!

  • Kristin - 11 years ago

I thought Michelle Obama looked beautiful. As to Jenny, Mrs. Obama regularly buys her clothes at J Crew, not custom made clothes. As to Michelle, I don't think they are using tax payer $$ for her wardrobe. Maybe you have a problem getting your facts straight just like Romney.

  • Julie G - 11 years ago

They both look great. I like the short sleeves on Ann's dress and how she paired it with an aqua necklace for contrast. But I like the crisp fabric and slightly brighter pink of Michelle's dress. It's a draw. No need to insult either one of these ladies because they both are beautiful women.

  • Jennifer - 11 years ago

    Michele with one L:

Taxpayers don't pay for her clothing allowance - do some research before saying that. She has a privately funded trust fund that pays for her clothing and other expenses. She has a taxpayer paid fund for her staff - that's it.

  • m - 11 years ago

You all need to get somethings to do. They both looked nice. Congratulate instead of being a hater and they could care less of what you guys think.

  • Angie - 11 years ago

Jenny...an Amazon...really ??? She's a REAL woman, with REAL curves! People pay good money to have a rear end such as hers, and what makes Ann a real woman...because she looks like a made up skeleton??? You may take your seat now!

  • Shondrika - 11 years ago

Uh excuse you jenny, but Mrs. Obama's rear end is NOT uncommon type. Duh.

  • MARCELLE WOLFE - 11 years ago

Ann Romney is the image and character of what a true first lady should be. She projects
class, grace and wholesomeness.. plus she looks fantastic in anything she puts on.
    Ann you I LOVE~!

  • Gayle - 11 years ago

Obama wore it well! Classier lady.

  • Michele with one L - 11 years ago

Michelle Obama's wardrobe if it competes at all with Ann Romney is the direct result of the US taxpayers. So while all of us are worrying on how to make ends meet. Thank God the Obama's have nicer clothes!

  • jenny mccardle - 11 years ago

I'm sick to death of the worship that goes on at the altar of Michelle Obama. She's amazon size and has to have clothes custom made because no one has a rear end like her!! Ann Romney is a lady and dresses like that
