What is wrong with you people, this is NOT Rob's issue, this is the price you pay when you have betrayed someone. Why do you think making a committment is such a serious matter? Because if you break it you run the risk of destroying something that can't be repaired. It's not like saying "I think today I will trust you" Trust is earned, and once you've lost it there is no guarantee you will earn it back, especially just because you want it. It will take time and it may never happen. So think twice before you play with someones heart.
