    I agree with Shirley!
Why can't trick or treating be for all ages? I would not be opposed to giving an adult candy so long as they made an effort to dress up. I think we should change the "rules" of Halloween and make it truly enjoyable for everyone.

I don't mind what age the kids are, as long as they're respectful and let the smaller kids go first, and by all means SAY THANK YOU!! One thing that erks me more than anything is kids that don't say a simple 'thanks' or 'happy halloween'!
Older kids (teens 13+) I'll give candy to you too, as long as you make an attempt at a costume. Don't come to my door wearing no costume or your face not made up and expect anything more than 1 peice of the crappiest candy in the bowl!

I think if they are coming to get candy then they are not causing trouble and they are still young enough to enjoy it. I don't mind at all, giving is what it is all about.

How 'bout 75 or 80 - why not let "them" people out to knock on doors - I think that would be a good idea. An opportunity to have communication with all kinds of other people not to mention their opportunity to get a "sweet treat" and who knows, maybe some of them might connect with new people to make friends. Especially if they are by themselves. Hmmmmm, now, I wonder what I could dress up as!!!!!!!

I agree that a age cut off is benefical. However, I have a 7 years old daughter who is quite tall and last year was denied by a few ignorant Windsorites, based on her size. To make any child feel that way is uncalled for and ridiculous. I have dealt with this issue in the past with my two older kids, when they reached a height that wasn't unacceptable.
