Do you like the new 'Last Man Standing' actors?

I hate the new change in Kristin Alexandra played Kristin so much better! I really wish she was never changed. The new actress is worse. I don't like what they did to the show, I stopped watching after I saw the change.

  • Wes - 8 years ago

I just discovered it on re-runs, so I haven't seen Amanda Fuller play Kristen yet. It doesn't make sense that they needed to replace Kristin with an actress who's all of 2 years older to retool the family dynamic. They could have just had the season 1 cast thank Mike and Vanessa for being such good grandparents.

  • Zac Stancell - 8 years ago

Like the kristin from the 1st season waaaaaaay better. Amanda fuller is a terrible fit the original kristin was awesome. Tired of seeing ryan and all his views granted I don't mind a little debate but every single episode is annoying. Wish the old kristin was back and ryan wasn't arround nearly as much.

  • Natalie - 10 years ago

I've been watching on Netflix and when it went on to season 2 I was like noooooooo the new actors just don't fit and please the political crab is beyond more than I can handle!!!
I only got 3 episodes into the second season and I'm done watching actors suck, not as funny and way to political for me! RIP Last Man Standing!!!

  • Patrick - 10 years ago

I stoped watching once season 2 started and I saw the changes

  • D. Sipe - 10 years ago

First, I have to say that the show is one of my favorites. Tim Allen is super funny. I love how the family interacts with each other, and the closeness they share. However, I do like the other sister so much better. She seemed so natural in her role, and I think she even looked more like she belongs in this family as opposed to the "new girl".

  • StephenP - 10 years ago

Don't watch the show that often, but watched it tonight on Foxtel. The new daughter is a complete dud.

  • Barbara Smith - 10 years ago

No I don't like the NEW actors. We don't want to see another TOOLman...we want to see OUTDOOR man.
We like Tim Allen's speels on his web cam set up.

The new daughter(Amanda Fuller) looks MEXICAN and could pass as a older neighbor, rather than one of the 3 sisiters...just sayin'...we feel she does not 'fit' in this particular family.
Her new babydaddy's HAIR looks ATTROCIOUS! Seriously? What's up with THAT????!!!!

I liked the way the 3 sisters interacted before the new Kristin-Amanda Fuller came on the scene. Each had their own personalities.
The only one who actually LOOKS like she belongs in the family in EVE (the youngest)...
The gal who is funny but quite SELF oriented looks ITALLIAN.

Tim Allen's wife's hair look better curly as it makes her look a bit younger (my opinion) than flat ironed.

  • rolli - 11 years ago

Horrible acting.... Bring old ones back!

  • Colonel Clark - 11 years ago

The first actress playing the daughter looked more like the middle sister and was prettier. The new one is uglier and looks nothing like the family. Best they could do?

  • mike schrock - 11 years ago

last season was better, the charectors are fine, the subject matter is getting old, and more than anything mike venting on his outdoor man Web ads have disappeared. Go back to last years format and make us laugh again, more outdoor man less babysitting

  • Florida Evan - 11 years ago

I watched the first 3 episodes of this season and have decided to stop watching this show. I got tired of a political lesson in every episode. I watch this show to get a laugh not to hear what some stupid writers think about the republicans and yes it is a show that is very one sided on it's political views. The new cast is atrocious I miss the previous actress who played the older sister so much she was cuter and 1000% better actress plus she fit the looks of the other two sisters to make it slightly believable. My advice go back to making me laugh and stop trying to spin your own personal agenda on the public. If you want to spin your political views than create another news show that I can ignore. I will also make it clear I am not republican nor democrat in favor and I want Tim Allen to make me laugh not teach me about Regan or have the new father tell me about how great Obama is. Please go back to the original writing and bring back Mike Rowe and there father to the program that story line was working out wonderfully. This new one is just plain going to kill the series.

  • Shawn - 11 years ago

What the hell is the deal, can't a sit-com just be funny anymore? What is with all the democratic blurb being shoved down our throat. Isn't it bad enough they hired the worst two actors in history to take place of last years cast members, now they play this crap. Time to go back to the way it was or cancel cancel cancel!

  • James - 11 years ago

Well I watched the first episode when it aired (made a comment on my review a few weeks ago I guess) and yes I was absolutely disgusted by the new writing, acting, and just the new characters in general. -- Well I've had them all saved on my DVR, I was trying to decide if I wanted to give it another shot... I did and I'm just as disappointed. Still terrible actors, the husband is a douche, the new daughter got on my last nerve. (Wow I really don't like her at all)----- I decided to delete the 8 or so episodes without watching them and I removed my "Season Pass"---- Just wanted to let the producers; whoever, that it was a terrible decision. Tim, you're a great actor/comedian. I love your work but I hope this trash is cancelled. I do hope we see you back on TV in a few years. Someone screwed up & they should be fired and banned from working on future shows.

  • James - 11 years ago

    Test

  • Jay - 11 years ago

Don't like the new Kristen to the show. Is this show trying to fail? They r doing a good job of going down the toilet. You could have kept the old Kristen & just aged the son & no one would care now the chemistry of the family is off

  • Lori - 11 years ago

Hadn't watched the show since my submission 5 weeks ago. Watched it tonight, 1-11-13, and actually laughed and enjoyed it! Still some political spin to the whole beautiful women always get the jobs even if they are underqualified, but it was tolerable. It wasn't as if the characters were giving a speech or teaching a 3rd grade class. I really enjoyed the storyline of the two girls arguing about makeup, and the chemistry between them, Tim, and Nancy Travis. This what we want to see. Good, old fashioned, innocent family dynamics. The oldest daughter was in the show maybe 15 seconds, and that was all that was needed. Also, no father of the child!! Yay!!! Someone is listening, so let's all keep up the good work in letting the writers and producers what we want and don't want to watch!!

  • nic - 11 years ago

Hope they are kicking themselves for the bad casting choices. You can't just create chemistry. Show had an x-factor dynamic in season one and now just falls flat. No offense to the new actors but Alexandra Krosney was believable and fun to watch. New characters just aren't believable. Personally love the new writing but they are inching a little close to making TIM Allens character too 1 dimensional....love this show and want to see it succeed but afraid abc is just using it to male republicans look ridiculous.

  • Judy - 11 years ago

I voted for Obama both times, but I do not like the politics added into the show WORSE YET IS THE NEW KIRSTEN. She doesn't look at all like a sister and does not fit in the family at all. Please get Alexandra Krosney back. Not all that concerned about the other bad choices; the new Boyd and his dad. Just get the 3 sisters back together and give us back the story lines which fit so well for this family rather than the lame ones from this season. Thank you.

  • Tyler - 11 years ago

Bring back the old actors in the next season. It was so much better then than now.

  • Matt - 11 years ago

I liked the old show. Too much politics, don't like the new dad or daughter. I love the other 2 daughters, and the little boy. Tim & Nancy are great. Drop the politics!

  • Sean - 11 years ago

The replacement for the daughter has totally spoiled the chemistry the family had. The change is a total failure and absolutely idiotic!

  • Terry - 11 years ago

Love'd 1 season as much as I hate season 2. "Bully" show was the end for me, is the Presidential Palace sending you the whole script, or just talking points to follow?

  • Rick - 11 years ago

Hate the new dead beat dad, not a fan of the new daughter either, this PC crap is going to send me to another show real fast, back to the writing style of season 1. Tool Time girl edition was a winner...

  • Chris - 11 years ago

Love d season 1, was really excited for 2.. stopped watching took it off the dvr like it never happened. sad it was really great

  • NaGromOne - 11 years ago

    First season, loved it.
Three sisters and their mother vs rugged Outdoor Man.
For variety, Outdoor Man store plotlines.

Second season, dropped it after three episodes.
The oldest daughter, with son and father, is a second family with the family.
Adding the extra male characters throws the balance off the theme "Last MAN Standing".

Politics - Obama v Romney is of no interest to us watching via international syndecation (especially since the election is history now).
Environment - defending coal-seam fracking (even if it is lovely Nancy Travis) is unconsionable. What's next? Denying global warming?
Frankenstein - Sass-mouth/attitude youngest daughter is creapy compared to season one; battle of the parenting 'styles' is getting very lame, very fast.

Tim Doyle made some bad business decisions here, and getting rid of Alexandra Krosney was just one of the most obvious. Tim, start afresh with Season Three (if it lasts that long) and put the train back on the original tracks. Please.

  • joey - 11 years ago

I loved it last season it was great. Now the family is just weird. Daughter and boyfriend ruin the show. Im not eatching after 3 episodes im done. If it isn't broke don't fix it. :(

  • Valerie - 11 years ago

The show had a good thing going until this cast change. Understand what they were trying to do, but they didn't need to. Now they have an older daughter, still living at home, still working as a waitress and so doesn't work with the rest of the family. Alexandra looked like and acted like part of the family, Amanda does not.
We all reserve the right to get smarter. Come on Tim, always been a fan, get Alexandra back.

  • Alex Atkin - 11 years ago

I was really excited to find Tim Allen in a new series but hugely disappointed to find they ruined the show in season 2.

What is the point of building a fan base over a whole season and THEN make changes that alienates them?

  • Rusty - 11 years ago

The new girl is way to snotty. Has a big chip on her shoulder. The kid’s father well love to slap him. Still like the show but not the new girl.

  • James Chadwick - 11 years ago

The old cast was great and I really looked forward to this show eack week. The new cast members are terrible and the new political correct format is an insult to anyone with any common sense. I loved Tim Allen but this year he has been made over into a total moron with the agenda you are pushing. If this show lasts I think you ought to move it over to MSNBC that viewer ship would probably love it. As for me I have taken it off my DVR schedule and will not watch it again. I watched through these first few weeks hoping it was just going to be the first shows political add for Obama and then get back to entertainment but that hasn't happened so Goodbye.

  • Jan - 11 years ago

I can't stand the new daughter. She reminds me of Mckenzie Phillips....yuck! She has no
charisma! Same goes for the new father of Boyd. They are booorrring and i think they ruin the show. As for Boyd....who cares, he's only a kid..he's not the star of the show and too much air time for the child ruins what i think the show is all about. If they keep giving these 3 too much air time - the show won't last. The first season was great - i've lost interest. In short ..keep the kid and dump the parents before they ruin the show.

  • mIKE - 11 years ago

If you had told me after last season when they were talking about canceling this show, that 3 or 4 weeks into the second season I would be wishing they had I never would have believed it. Although slightly reminisent of tool time, I loved the first season, the writing was great the chemistry between the cast was incredible and the humor flowed. Now every joke seems forced, half of the new characters couldn't land a roll in a High School production of Oklahoma. The best thing they could do with the new version of boyds father is have him expire from eating a wild mushroom while cramming dandelions up his Butt. At this growth rate boyd will be halfway through his masters in 2 more seasons. I geuss we'll just have too live with the new daughter, butt I can't even remember the characters name anymore if that says anything. Best suggestion, fire the new team of writers you obviouslly hired and get the old ones back, they had some talent, these bozo's could have gotten Mash cancelled

  • Lina - 11 years ago

I totally agree with everyone. Chemistry is gone. I don't expect a season 3 after these cast changes.

  • Jim Zunn - 11 years ago

these changes have absolutely ruined the show.....I no longer plan on watch it. It is really a shame. The show started well, but has gone down hill quickly. Recasting was idiodic......better to replace a charactor then try to recast.......

  • Tracy - 11 years ago

I am truly sadden to see what they did to this show. My whole family was so happy to see a old fashion family comedy. Like back to the days of Tim's first show or the Cosby show.... but these changes have destroyed that! It's all hot botton topics which is just going to piss someone off. And the acting from the two new cast members are SO BAD it hurts to watch! The little boy is good, he needs to teach the guy playing his father somethings about acting. Just stop!!!!! Go back to the way it was before. It's the only way to save this show or no season 3!!!!

  • Lori - 11 years ago

A show that I actually looked forward to watching is now one I can barely tolerate. I miss the chemistry among the cast members, and I miss the light heartedness of the show. I think Americans have enough political agendas stuffed down there throats without so called comedies adding to the choking hazards. PLEASE bring back the original Kristen. PLEASE refocus show topics on the daily comical challenges of marriage, raising children, and sibling rivalry. A sweet, funny show has become a soapbox and political platform which has completely taken the fun and light heartedness that we all enjoy as well as the need to escape the troubles and worries of our daily lives, and buried them 7 feet deep under a slab of concrete. We don't need to be reminded of the things we are trying to escape through laughter by idiots whose only concern is brainwashing through their own agenda. I am done giving this season a chance to redeem itself!

  • Kathy Shipley - 11 years ago

This was my favorite show last season. But that new baby daddy, he's bad.

  • Yang Ping - 11 years ago

Why is the new Kristin still on the show????? Please get rid of the new cast members! Can't stand to watch them at all.

  • Tracey - 11 years ago

I can't stand the new Kristen, bring back the original actress..

  • Sarai - 11 years ago

New cast doesn't fit and I'm wondering if they wouldn't have had a better show by sending the eldest daughter out of state and concentrating on the rest of the cast and Dad's work.

  • Bob - 11 years ago

Well.....tried watching the new season....nope...can't do it..one would think producers, and or whoever is responsible for cast changes would learn from others mistakes, usually doesnt end well. If conditions arise and a cast needs to be redone they should just cut their losses, save money and cancel the show.

  • Anonymous - 11 years ago

Not sure if it will make a difference, but anyone who doesn't like the cast changes to Last Man Standing, let ABC know. Maybe if enough people say something, they will listen. Try this URL: http://abc.go.com/site/contact-us?noredirect

  • JimTom - 11 years ago

@James: the 3rd episode of this season was more tolerable than the others...the "new" daughter only made a small appearance at the beginning and the rest of the episode on the two younger daughters; 4th episode was centered on Ed and resonated familiar season 1 vibes...I still strongly dislike the "new" daughter

  • Paul - 11 years ago

Why did you wreck my favorite show?

  • James - 11 years ago

I really liked the 1st season. It was nice to finally have Tim Allen on TV. I watched all 20-something episodes and I grew to like the original cast.

I don't understand how you can drastically change a show and just expect people to not notice. By the way the new cast absolutely sucked. Everything the new daughter does feels forced. She's not funny, and after seeing about 30 seconds of the dad I can tell he's a douche.

I can understand aging the child, no big deal, that happens a lot.

Also I HATED the political BS of the first episode. Tim was a right win Tea bagging douche and the Daughter is a socialist dumbsh*t. Politics and comedy does not go together in a sitcom.

So Tim ( or whoever is running the show) write the new daughter out. Say she had to move to Alaska, leave the kid if you have to, OR BRING THE OTHER GIRL BACK. Stop with the politics, and get back to the laughs and the fun of a family sitcom.

I've currently got the new episodes on my DVR, I'm debating just deleting it and removing the season pass, but I'm hoping we get some news involving the new cast getting fired so I can start rewatching again

Until then, no I won't be watching this crap.

  • Brad - 11 years ago

They just killed the show, it won't last more than 1 more season. Too bad a great show ruined!
    What were they thinking!

  • Hershey - 11 years ago

I look more like the old Kristin than this new girl... They could have at least tried to get a girl who LOOKED like the actress from last season. Love Tim Allen, and we don't need the new "son-in-law" for him to spar with - he has three girls and a wife for that! Careful with these changes... We'll lose Tim on TV again!

  • Christene - 11 years ago

Another dissatisfied customer. We watched several episodes trying to give it a chance....still hate the new actors. The entire feel of the show has changed. It was nice to have a "conservative" show last season. Now I just have my stomach in knots. Get the old cast back!

  • Debby - 11 years ago

The new Kristin is boooooorrrrrrrring..... she has no energy... kind of a dumpy replacement. Whoever made this decisions needs to make their exit. The kid growing up a bit is okay and the new dad but let's not overdo the liberal BS of the new dad. Let's just have some comical interaction between dad and daughters..... don't need to go overboard on the liberal vs conservative.

  • Gary - 11 years ago

I loved this show last season. When I heard that some moron fired Alexandra Krosney, I decided I wasn't even going to bother trying to watch this season. Judging from the other comments here, looks like I'm not the only viewer you've lost. Oh but wait, unless we're one of the almighty "Neilsen" households, we don't matter anyway, right? For shame!

  • Teri - 11 years ago

I love anything Tim Allen is in, and absolutely loved past seasons of Last Man Standing, but don't like the changes, okay hate the new Kristine. I truly hope you find a way to bring back the original Kristine. Otherwise dont think I will continue to watch, we'll, I know I won't. Too bad Tim, hope you can fix what wasn't broke and is now severely damaged.

  • 3dranch - 11 years ago

When the show first started the characters had chemistry and now they don't and its shows big time. No disrespect to the new actors that replaced the original ones.

  • Fran - 11 years ago

the new actors are too old- there was a warmth and endearing quality to the show last year...tim allen's relationship with the daughters was funny and engaging...the older daughter is too old and the focus on her character and the 'new baby daddy' is annoying and not funny-really disappointed in the new season... we will not watch the show- it has lost all of the charm from last year....

  • Janice - 11 years ago

What the hell were they thinking. If something is not broken, DON'T BREAK IT. This girl did fine on Greys Anatomy, but we already had the PERFECT Kristin, put her back...............

  • Monica - 11 years ago

If I want to watch political rhetoric I will watch the news! Our family did not even make it 5 minutes into the first episode before we turned it off. Really disappointed in the new actors. I will miss watching Last Man Standing however; I can not support the show as it is currently being aired!

  • Laura - 11 years ago

The first Kristen was a naturally funny girl without even trying. The new one is bad, and I don't like her at all. I can understand changing Boyds character as he grows. But come on. Why change things when it's good? I don't get it! Bring back first one and don't mess with what's good

  • Maureen Matarazzo - 11 years ago

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto, My entire family is disappointed with this casting change. I feel like you are trying to resurrect Archie, Gloria and Meathead. Please don't.!!!!! BTW your audience potentially is NRA members. Why would you want to loose your fan base. I just miss a good laugh. Most comedies are inappropriate for the whole family and you have ruined the one that was appropriate and funny. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!!!!!

  • Nate - 11 years ago

Seriously, why are they throwing the baby daddy and the new daughter in our face so much? They are making Tim Allen out to be some crazy right wing lunatic! Y do they need to suddenly push this liberal agenda? This WAS a great show, made it 4:37 into episode two and deleted it and erased it from my DVR.... Wow, what were they thinking?!?!

  • Nate - 11 years ago

Just sat down to watch the first two new ones.... They killed the show, all three new cast members SUCK and they totally killed the dynamic of the show!! Hate it, will never DVR it again. U killed a great show, way to go idiots!!!!

  • Yang Ping - 11 years ago

Awful change!!! Please make them go away, move them to Alaska or have them abducted by aliens or something ASAP if you want me to continue watching the show!

  • BM - 11 years ago

Done with the show. The move was horrible and the liberal agenda sucks.

  • trafitz - 11 years ago

Awful, I won't even DVR this show anymore. I liked the other daughter, the new one can't even act.

  • Nowhere2bfound - 11 years ago

Has nothing to do with liberal/conservative anything, the 1st season arc and characters just had better chemistry. Stop politicizing everything, yes even you Tim Allen.

  • andy - 11 years ago

    I couldn't believe it!!!

Worst decision they could possibly have made. I'd been counting down this show's return and I couldn't even sit through the first episode.

    HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!!

  • r lynch - 11 years ago

Horrible, took thw show off my DVR recording list. Bring the cast back, or loose me a fan.....

  • Me - 11 years ago

When will the networks learn that when you change a great show about American Values and smear it with liberal crap...it's just going to stink! Tim Allen should be ashamed making his character the "Archie Bunker Goof"

  • Kyle - 11 years ago

It was a great show last year, but, I liked the old cast. I was really disappointed by the changes because Alexandra Krosney's role was my favorite on the show. Since Alexandra was replaced I will not watch it again.

  • Mike C - 11 years ago

Who is responsible for the destruction of one of the best sitcoms on television? The advertising sponsers have been ripped off,as well the viewers. The vast majority of former viewers would return if the former cast was returned. Those responsible should be dismissed!

  • usdiplomat - 11 years ago

awufl new actor/actress and watching both epidsode they need should fire the writer because I have yet to laugh

  • Clod - 11 years ago

    Aweful!

  • Victoria T - 11 years ago

Please change cast back. I really loved the first season, but these changes just don't work. Boyd is adorable but Kristen and Ryan are just terrible. As far as the political episode, I don't think it should have been on tv. If I wanted to watch bias opinions I would watch CNN or CBS. I love Tim Allen but honestly I am having a difficult time just watching the show now with Ryan and that story line. Just a huge mistake for the network. I don't want to see the show cancelled so please change the show back to the original cast or just eliminate Kristen and Ryan.

  • Jeff - 11 years ago

I echo the the rest here. What the hell are the producers thinking, the old Kristin was perfect! They all clicked very well last season. I don't know if was Alexandra who decided not to return this season and if so, then they had to replace her but wow, the replacement is terrible.

I really liked the show and although the show isn't a huge hit (relatively speaking), this recent change isn't going to fair well for the show unfortunately. Too bad.

  • Diane - 11 years ago

If the people responsible for casting Last Man Standing actually read these comments the original cast members should be returned to their roles. Joe Jonas was not on enough to really be a factor but his replacement is grotesque. Surely someone who can actually act can be found. The sister is a huge disappointment. She does not fit in with the family, the dynamic is totally skewed. Bring back the original actress who was perfect in this situation. As for the child I think someone a year older than the one last yr would be fine. The show was perfect, one of my favorites. Now I can't get through an entire episode. In it's current state I don't think this show has long to go.

  • Charlie - 11 years ago

Was one of my favorite shows, DON'T care for it now.

  • Holly - 11 years ago

Why was Kristin replaced??! Krosney fit the role perfectly and the new girl is way too old and doesn't look like she belongs to the same family. The new Boyd is so cute but it's cancelled out by how annoying the new dad is.

  • Zach - 11 years ago

I'm to read the comments on this blog and see that there are so many people that agree with my thoughts. The recasting was a terrible idea and now this most likely will be a canceled show. It's to bad the first season I thought they put together a good family dynamic. Now I can't get into the show anymore.

  • Teri - 11 years ago

Are you kidding me...what were they thinking? To think how much money these people make to be idiots. Casting a new daughter..do you think they can pull off a Darren Stevens.

  • Shawna - 11 years ago

Yuck. Hate the new cast. Not even worth watching anymore. Terrible decision.

  • Joyce - 11 years ago

We like the *old* Last Man Standing. The new Boyd's Dad role is like that of "Meathead" on Archie Bunker. The new daughter is too old for the other two. Too much of an age difference.

  • Richard - 11 years ago

the cast change of the oldest daughter was a big mistake. her persona does not fit with the rest of the family - wrong chemistry. No dynamics, not like last season. Mettlesome show runnners ruin good shows.

  • Rick Jones - 11 years ago

My family loved this show last year --- now it's unwatchable!

ABC admit your mistake and switch back, or this show is done by Thanksgiving.

  • Paula Pembroke - 11 years ago

Liked last seasons cast much better. The whole dynamics have changed at home with the sister/daughter replacement, and her son. The boyfriend was a smaller part before so not as bothersome. I liked the show before, not so much now, I really liked the other actress a lot better, not sure I will continue to watch. It's a shame, because it was an entertaining show, just can't get into it now. My husband agrees.

  • Tony Lupica - 11 years ago

Love the show...but to start this season out the way you did is just wrong. Don't like the new cast members at all. Boyd is fine but the new sister and father of Boyd...NO BUENO..C'mon get the other cast members back on the show.

  • Tical - 11 years ago

Not a fan of the changes. I liked Nick Jonas but understand why he had to be replaced, and since he wasn't a regular it wasn't that big of a deal. The rest is a cf, new oldest daughter seemingly can't act, New deadbeat ex is that annoying self-righteous ass nobody in the real world would be able to stand being around, and now the pointed ham-fisted political sermonizing that has all the subtlety and nuance of a sledge hammer to the head. Too many changes and now most of the characters are pretty unlikeable. This was a fun show last season, now it's just a chore to watch: FAIL

  • C. Cozzie - 11 years ago

We loved this show last year and was so loooking forward to it returning. The new daughter is such a boring drag and her husband is just despicable ..even the new Boyd is lacking personality. Glad I lost electric last week and missed the Pro Obama show. We love Tim Allen but rather watch his Tool Time DVDS. you have ruined this show.

  • David Richard - 11 years ago

What were they thinking? Bad moves all around. Chemistry just not there.

  • Pat - 11 years ago

I like it! I think the new daughter is very refreshing and actually has a personality! Boyd's father
I like very much. He just adds to Tim Allen's jerk persona!!!

  • Kstacy - 11 years ago

Hate the new girl and her pansy ass ex. The family dynamic isn't the same. Love the rest of the cast, but big mistake with the recast- change it or we will be changing the channel.

  • Antennatv - 11 years ago

This show is terrible now I find it hard to believe that the network even let it air with the new cast. The only fix now is to have the oldest daughter put back or have her move out and leave the show. We are no longer watching this show in its current state.

  • Payton - 11 years ago

I really liked the show last season and I couldn't wait to see a new episode. I was disappointed by the cast changes, Krosney Is a good actress and a big mistake has been made.

  • E T - 11 years ago

The Jonas decision- not a big deal. He was only in one episode and can be changed out without a problem. Changing out Alexandra and Boyd's character. Horrible idea. The new Alexandra is awful. The show has changed a lot for me. I'm not sure if I want to continue watching it. Which is sad, because the first season was great.

I am very disappointed with the casting changes that were made. The oldest daughter, single young mom working and foung to school, living with her folks was a perfect portrayal of todays modern american society. The whole dynamic of the non-traditional American family was what viewers liked about the show. I have to say, the first episode was a shock when I first saw it, but I was happy to see the industry embracing more of the truth. People today watch tv so they can either relate or escape and the first season was perfect the way it was. The dynamics between the sisters is all off now and this new girl, just doesn't fit the family. I love Tim Allen and spent many years watching him and all the reruns of home improvement and loved him in toy story, so I was happy to see his return to television, but I fear without the original cast this show will fail. Go back to the realistic American family we all loved!

This new girl is so bad, Im not sure I'll even watch this show anymore! Aging Boyd 2-3 yrs was dumb & the "father" of Boyd is beyond bad! Way to take a great show & muck it up in one episode!!

I love Tim Allen and loved the show last year. I do not like the character change at all!!!!! The dynamic of the family is completely off! I do not believe that the show will make it to next year due to changes. So Sad!!!

New cast members + political propaganda rhetoric + disjointed fantasy football side plot = canceled. Shame that lms jumped the shark in only its second season. I didn't know who krosney was before, but I do now. Your move, abc.

I loved this show last season. Then you had to change so much. I can live with the Jonas decision. Things like scheduling conflicts happen all the time.
What I don't understand is the cast change for the oldest daughter and the massive age jump of her son. It changed everything about the show. The new girl is terrible and the chemistry of the family seems completely off.
I'll try watching it again this Friday, but I'm not keeping my hopes up.
