Erik Williams should be added to the list.

This is a good list and I would just add Bob Lilyand Lee Roy Jordan to it.

I agree, how is Bob Lilly NOT included on this list? Another glaring omission is Emmitt Smith. Michael Irvin and not Emmitt Smith? Really? January 2, 1994, the separated shoulder game against the Giants? He should be on the list WITHOUT that game, but his performance in that game certainly should have cemented him a place on an all time toughest Cowboys list. Lee makes a strong arguement for Cliff Harris, and as good as he was, I might have to lean toward another safety, Darren Woodson.

Congrats to those answering, who correctly recognized the Manster as the the toughest ever Cowboy. Tough means two things. First, it means you're a durable player who can take lots of punishment, and still perform at a high level. Second, tough means you punish your opponent. The whole league feared Randy White. OLs dreaded trying to block him. One coach ordered his players, "Don't anybody make Randy White mad!" There was a reason he was known as the Manster. He intimidated.
This poll should have included another authentically tough Cowboy--the Safety known as "Captain Crash." Cliff Harris intimidated and punished most opposing WRs.
Both of these guys could play in spite of taking punishment, and they handed out more punishment that they took. For good reason, both are in the Ring of Honor, and fondly remembered by fans my age.

No question about it, Bob Lilly is the toughest of them all.

For all the outstanding players you listed I believe that there was not any one better or tougher that Bob Lilly.
