I agree, why have the poll if you choose who gets the award and not who has the highest precentage in the poll. It's a academic achievement to even be recognized for this award with all the great athletics in the state who participates in sports.

I noticed last time George Payne had more than 85% of the vote, you gave the award to someone else. I recommend either giving the award to the receiver of the most votes (particularly in a landslide), or simply stopping the poll and being up front about giving the award to whomever you choose.
