I don't feel sorry for Mr. Petraeus, as many foolish men have affairs. If I were to feel sorry for anyone it would be his wife, for having wasted so much of her life with a man who did not value what she had to offer him. After so many years together & having given him a family & keeping a home for him, you would think he'd appreciate her more then to go chasing young skirt, & disgracing the family name.
The important issue to me here is, that he has information about Benghazi & he should want to give that information without being served a subpena. It appears that he is covering for Obama & possibly others. Back in October he gave a statement saying, that the only one who could give an order to "Stand Down" would be the President. Now we hear nothing of that.
Instead we see him retiring, & stories of an affair, & him refusing to testify, etc.
It sounds like perhaps there's been a deal struck between him & the white house, which would not surprise me at all. It also appears they want to throw the woman under the bus for leaking secrets...such Brave men.
Our country is in BIG TROUBLE with this administration at the helm, & somebody needs to get a backbone to stand up for Americans! How much does this government think we're going to take before we all get sick of the lies & bullying? This administration talks of "Transparency", but has NEVER been transparent about any issue.
They have lied & hid things from the people since day one. It's been a constant stream of cover-ups & we Americans have a right to know the truth. I have seen Much Criminal Misuse of Power from this administration, & nobody has lifted a finger to stop them.
They need to remember that they are employed by the people, & they can be removed as easily as they came to hold their positions!
The Constitution says Government is a servant of the people...we are not servants to them!
