What do you do to get through depressing and dark times?
People: social media, e-mails and cell phones, or just a good old-fashioned visit with someone I'm close to.
Meditation: breathing, repeating a mantra, clearing my mind, maybe even some yoga... that's my technique.
Music: whether listening, playing, or singing, it's my savior.
Television or movies: whether empathizing or uplifting, the mix of input from animated media is what helps me.
Video games: action, adventure, suspense--I get away by putting myself into a new situation.
Vice: Booze, drugs, gambling, sex... Whatever it takes to get my mind off of things.
Other (comment, please?) : something else saves me when I'm struggling.
Art: Either creating new 2D or 3D art, or else viewing it, helps me to find new beauty in life.
Athletics: playing a sport, working out, or anything else that lets me get lost in my own motion.
Food: I like to either cook or eat. It helps me to feel more fulfilled.
Literature: books, poetry, or maybe even telling a story of my own is the best escape.
