Along with my turkey, I must have this dish for my Thanksgiving to be complete (choose only one) :

It's a toss up for me between dressing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. Love them all...but I picked "stuffing".

Every year I make something new for Thanksgiving, sometimes more than one thing. This year I actually cooked my turkey with mayonnaise! I found the recipe in Cooks Country and thought I'd give it a try. We used a natural, fresh turkey and I have to tell you, this was the best turkey I, and everyone else at my table, have ever had! One of the things I love about Cleo's books are the recipes. I love cooking up new recipes for my family. And I have to say, from reading her books I now know more about coffee than I ever had before. I actually never liked coffee, but I think that's probably because I never had really good coffee made from good beans and the proper methods. So I'm on a new adventure, thanks to Clair and her coffee shop. I am going to buy a good coffee maker, a burr grinder, and search for beans that will delight my palate. My husband, a confirmed 'swill' drinker, is in for some surprising new cup-o-delights!

Actually, it really HAS to be all of those....a little bit of each...that's what really makes it a Thanksgiving FEAST. Anyway, the coffee will be great with anything and I'd love to win it!

It really is stuffing and sweet potatoes. Next would be my sister-in-laws pumpkin soup. It really is wonderful. There are so many traditions in our family. We don't vary much from year to year.
