I don't get offended when a non Christian wishes me a Happy Hanuka, so why should a non Christian get offended when I wish them a Merry Christmas? It's called freedom of speech. We can say what we want. People need to stop being so sensitive. Call the holiday whatever you want but to me and my family it will ALWAYS be CHRISTmas, so suck it up!!

i am disgusted that media and politicians would suggest to cater to different nationalities and religious beliefs . Canada is a free country where freedom of speech is allowed. if muslims and other nationalities want to live in our country and practice there religious beliefs then we canadian's who were born and raised here should be allowed to practice ours as well. i will continue to say merry christmas and am pissed off that people try to tell us what to say and how to say it . If people dont like our customs then go back home where you came from.

When you notice the media and or politicians over in foreign countries, they are required to respect the local custom such as female reporters wearing a scarf over their head in the Middle East. In Canada, Christmas has been a long-standing tradition/custom. If people don't like the custom, then I suggest they go somewhere else. I am dismayed that this matter is always pushed by religious groups not Christian oriented when, for the most part, Canada has been a Christian oriented country. I don't think other countries that practice Muslim, Hindu or any other religion would appreciate a Canadian coming into their country and complaining about their religious customs. On the contrary, as indicated beforehand with the scarf incident, we're expected to respect their custom. We, in this country, should expect no less.
