It's pretty upsetting he wore this. I mean c'mon man, with all the money you have you couldn't afford to bring a blazer and change of pants? Which would of taken all of 30-60 seconds to change out of? This was a big award he received, and whether at a hockey game or not, he should of made the effort to change. It's not asking a lot. Our PM is giving you a huge award so maybe show that you actually care that you're receiving it? The worst part is how defensive he's being, admit you made a boo-boo and move on. I'm sure your homeland would like you a lot more. It's no wonder he got booed at the Argos game in Toronto.

Bieber's disrespect for this occasion and Canada aside, I have to question anyone even nominating him for the medal. There are three parts to the eligibility criteria and I have to admit he definitely qualifies under two - he is a Canadian citizen and he was alive on Feb. 6, 2012, but he certainly has not made a significant contribution to any part of the country or achieved anything that brings credit to Canada (or anywhere else for that matter). There have to be many more deserving citizens to whom this could have been awarded rather than bestowing it on someone who couldn't be bothered to show even an ounce of respect - the clothes were bad enough, but the backwards baseball cap, really? - didn't even have the sense to remove it.

Next time, have YOUR people tell their his people (or whover gets the recognition), that if they cannot take the few minutes to dress for such an honor, you don't need to honor them !! Period !!
