Industrial hemp is now legal, plastic bags made from hemp seed oil is bio degradable so ask the industry to use bio degradable bags and problem solved without banning which has become national pass time for climate change junkies with nothing else to do but cause trouble.

If you want ban plastic shopping bags at grocery stores only, that's wrong. You have to ban ALL plastic bags from ALL stores including clothing, retail, 7-11, candle shops, auto supply stores, restaurants, etc...ALL.
You can't pick and choose which stores you want plastic bags to be banned from like Boulder.

Lets just ban everything... Where do you stop? The same people that want to ban items like this, just don't know when to stop. So just don't start. Mind your own business and if you'd like to not use the bags then great. If you do, then great as well. Make your own decision based on your beliefs, rather than forcing your beliefs on others!

Yes -- charge people for the bags -- That way the stores might cut back on how many you get. Nothing is more irritating when they put just 1 or 2 items in each bag -- Came home the other day with 12 items in 10 bags -- 2 items had their own handles ---

A 3rd option should be in the poll: Charge people per bag!

If they are going to ban plastic shopping bags, they also need to ban newspaper bags as well. In fact, I find that the grocery bags decompose within a few months in the sun on my back porch, while the newspaper bags last a lot longer.
