I supported the teachers during their last work to rule during the harris regime and I support them now during the whoever is leading the liberal party regime. Taking away agreed upon rights from one group means they will take them away from all if the government feels so inclined. It is a slippery slope leading to parliamentary dictatorship. BTW my children were in school during the harris nonsense revolution regime. My daughter was h/s yearbook editor and did it all by herself. She got the Principal to cut her a check to buy a computer, taught herself photoshop and brought the project in under budget and before its due date. With no "extracurricular activities" by teachers it will give the kids a chance to shine and develop leadership abilities.

Teachers accepted a freeze to their pay from the outset. What they did not accept was a rollback of benefits bargained for over decades and stripped without consultation with either their union or their employers. The attack on workers' rights is worrisome and somebody needs to stand up for those rights. Teachers are managing their strike with minimal interruptions to the students' core activities.
