Can the Middle East ever get to a point when women are respected?

Of course. It takes a lot of forward thinking and willingness from the men of the country to jump on board, but it's not impossible.
No. This is a country founded on and maintained by unfair gender standards. Women will never be respected in the Middle East.
Gender roles are far too defined there, but there's hope for change. I just don't think it's likely.

Where's all the outrage now??!!!! Those people are quick to throw temper tantrums when they think an American has done something to insult their god but will turn around and allow something like this to happen to a young (female) child. There is no place on this planet for people with that kind of mind set. Lets get out of their God forgotten country and let them kill each other off. Starting with those 2 men of course.
