No more industrial! I live on Hoyt, and the smell in the air made it hard to even sit outside in the summer. You can't say they weren't destroying the air quality when you could see the plume of smoke rising into the sky 24/7. Turn it into something that will draw people. One area of inspiration is Juanita. They have done so much with the area, beautiful shops, housing, restaurants, office space. It's clean, it's friendly and it draws business AND it employs people.

Everett has the opportunity to do something great and beautiful with this waterfront. Why can't we turn it into a Cruise Port, build shops, restaurants, Hotel, etc. They could have tours to Boeing, Tulalip Casino, Outlet Mall, the Air Museum and many other places. We could put Everett on the map making it a beautiful place for Tourists and Everett citizen's to frequent.

Build a new ballpark on the water for the AquaSox and surround it with shopping, restaurants and housing.

This isn't an easy issue. The facts and details of this property simply make it's only use to be slated for Heavy Industry.

The 750 people who lost their jobs have mostly had to move out of state and have taken the tax dollars with them. The Everett chamber of commerce did this.

Give it to the Navy! If not the public needs access to the waterfront. I don't like the idea of a combination of business and public though.
