In light of the recent tragedy in Connecticut, would you feel safer sending your kids to a school where guns were allowed or not allowed?

The classrooms doors could be locked while kids are in class and just having a security guard with an concealed weapon at the entrance could/would help. Having police officers in full uniform rooming the halls in an elementary isnt a great image for the kids. Having a trained security officer at the entrance and having it posted outside the doors would be beneficial.

Teacher, and staff members should be able to carry a consealed weapon, not have it laying out in the classroom, not openly displayed on their belt, but consealed, if someone would have had a consealed weapon at Sandyhook the shooter would not have made it past the office area.

There was and is a law making it illegal to bring any gun into a school.. The bad guys don't obey the law.. That's why they call them BAD GUYS. !
Money would be better spent making mental health services available and affordable..! I will never understand why seemingly intelligent people, attack the symptom and not the cause..!
