We line every perimeter of every one of our schools with "No gun's allowed [except for drug dealers, thugs, and mass murders]" signs. What do we expect as a result? Why would anyone think that putting those kinds of signs up at every one of our homes would make anyone safer? If you're going to commit murder or mass murder, what concern do you have about the possibility of some minor additional charge? Let's take a deep breath and think this through!
What's important for you to know right now is that every gun owner in the country is feeling every bit as intense of anger and disgust as you! The only difference is that what we desperately wish for is that instead of new laws, that one of us could have been there equiped and ready to make a difference or give our life trying. It could have been a teacher, a security guard, an administrator or even a parent in the parking lot dropping of their kids... Every one of them was required by law to be completely defenseless. We aren't your enemy! We aren't a threat to you, your family, your friends or your neighbors. We are your family, we are your friends, we are your neighbors!
