With a out-of-wack budget being considered ($1 cut for $41 tax increase), a president who refuses to work with people but blames everyone and everything else, State Department and White House covering up the disaster in Benghazi, a White House that does more to do things in secret than other administrations, news organizations who prefer to spoon feed us biased news than trust us to understand the truth, environmental groups taking away American jobs by forcing us to buy expensive imported oil and add expensive corn ethanol than drill for American oil that would create American jobs, $1.2 billion spent last year on free cell phones paid by taxpayers, a president who goes to Hawaii for vacation holiday that costs taxpayers $4 million but doesn't bother him at all, ...etc. The list goes on and on. Gee, as a worker, all I can look forward for tomorrow is another day to pay for someone else's benefits while walking around with socks that has holes.

The country, in general, is not looking very well, at least as far as the economy goes. But I REFUSE to look at everything in a negative way. If I have to struggle to get through this mess......
SO BE IT!!! I still live in the greatest country this world has EVER known!! BRING IT ON!!

We suffer from lack of leadership at the highest levels of government and incompetence forms the foundation. The President only knows how to "con", "read" and "lecture". The American people have elected massive incompetence reflecting the service and work ethic that abounds in every realm of our life. A secular nation with no faith hopes from a miracle that they don't believe exists. How sick is that? Where is the hope? Where is the motivation to build? We are a country lost and in need of direction.

Only an uninformed person could be upbeat about what the politicians are doing to this country.

    The following quote is appropriate:

"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and given him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the new wonderful good society which shall now be Rome's, interpreted to mean more money, more ease, more security, and more living fatly at the expense of the industrious." --Roman philosopher and statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC)

'Nuff Sed. We all know what happened to the Roman Empire.

How can anyone know what the mood of the "entire nation" is? How many people do any of us know? I hate these polls that offer extreme, polarized possible answers. Nothing is all one way or the other. Most people I know are a little wary, cautious...but they are neither "excited" or all "doom and gloom."
