It is not guns that are the cause of these mass shootings.. we had loads of guns before any of this stuff started and there were no mass shootings. What we need to target and stop are the psychiatric dispensed mind altering drugs that nearly all of these mass shooters have been on. Psychiatrists should have no ability to dispense drugs of this nature with the sole exception of to those patients who are in a secure institutional setting where the patients cannot gain access to the public at large. We should never have allowed this crap to be given to our children, especially once we found out that most of these psycho-tropic drugs have side effects resulting in both homicidal and suicidal tendencies. Before these drugs were handed out like candy, we did not have such mass shootings despite loads of guns all over this nation.
Also, as the government takes more and more power and freedoms away from its citizens, there is a growing and greater need for the right to bear arms. Even police cannot protect us from criminals. For the most part, they arrive after the damage is done to count the bodies, bag the evidence and start an investigation. Besides, criminals do not obey gun laws, only sane law abiding citizens do.
