    What about our elected 2 Senators and Represeantives speaking up? Why didn't they do there job? Vote all of them out. We the people are too apathetic, and letting all of those fools in federal government destroy the USA. There needs to be a better way. Go Christie - But its a big hill to climb on your own.

    I applaud Governor Christie for speaking the truth. We, as citizens of New Jersey, are fortunate to have him as our governor. He stands up to injustice and speaks his mind. I believe that he is truly concerned for the wellbeing of our state. If he does run for president, he will have my vote. Heck, we need him there right now.

    I really like Gov. Christie; when is he going to switch to the Democratic Party? He and Hillary Clinton would be a great one-two punch.

    I wish he was speaker of the house. I like his style.
    1st= people
    2nd= party

    I am a New Jersey Democrat who did not care much for Governor Christie's bullying tactics and big mouth. But he used those same tactics to come to the aide of the state and its citizens. He is to be commended for what he did yesterday and for all of his actions since Sandy came on these shores to wreak havoc. He has done alright and probably deserves (gasp) re-election for doing the right thing and putting politics to the side for the public good.

    The Republicans of 2016 won't exist as they are today. If the Tea Party continues to bully them, they will disappear and reform as a centrist right party. Or the Tea Party may be called out - bullies hate that - and will reform themselves as the Latter Day Know Nothings.

    The best thing the Republicans could do would be to run him at the top of the ticket in 2016. He could win in a landslide as a lot of Democrats would vote across party lines for him. Whether the leadership is smart enough to push that remains to be seen.

    Those of us independents look at Christie as more of a leader, and less of a politician.

    I salute Gov. Christie for speaking what many of us are thinking about our inept Congressional lack of leadership.
