You left out the option that I think most Islanders would support, no toll.
This is not a done deal and the residents of MI should stand against tolling PERIOD. Especially since it is going to fund the unfunded 520 segment from I-5 to the Western shore of the lake. That road isn't even tolled today!
There is no other example where a community with no hospital, no major retail center and no major employment center has been cut off from the adjacent communities that it integrates with in such a way.

The opinion should be put on next ballot. Also citizens should know which of elected people support it. None of them suggested it before elections.

The poll is missing an option: there should be no toll in either direction for Island residents...why is it assumed the Island residents should be tolled in any direction to exit the Island?

Since the DOT has determined the necessity of a toll to be established on the Mercer Island Floating Bridge, then accessibility to Mercer Island via the East Channel Bridge should remain free.

The toll is legal, the feds approved it years ago (see http://tollI-90.com). Yes, the Western side should be tolled. Eastside to MI is a suburban route. Crossing to Seattle is the metropolitan commute.

First of all, tolling I-90 is not legal. A state can not toll a federal Highway, but if they ram this through the tolls should be collected west of the Island going west and east of the Island going east to ease the damage to Mercer Island residents and businesses. JT
