    A great athlete should also be a great role model in the manner they achieve their goals.

    He should still be considered an athlete, yes he was "doping up" but that doesn't change the fact that he trained like a normal pro athlete would for the competitions/ races. They should still consider him a Pro Athlete.

    1. For those claiming "they all dope" referring to pro athletes, unless you know this for fact realize that your statement is libelous and is basis for defamation lawsuit by any athlete. Be careful.

    2. Real issue with Lance Armstrong is not doping. It's the system of lies and tactics he used over the years, including attacking and suing honest people who alleged his doping and thereby defaming their reputation for telling the truth, and fooling the public for profit.

    Lance is no worse or better than the people he is competing against. A while back they announced they couldn't find anyone to give his French award too because they had all tested for drugs. Drugs are present in ALL sports because of the almighty dollar and to draw the crowds who pay big dollars to watch these people.
