How much do CEO's of large corporations get paid? A lot more than a major, that is for sure. I find it funny that the same people that complain about stupid politicians are usually the same people that want them to get paid poorly. If this happens, we will always be doomed to have people that can't get a decent job elsewhere. The stress of being in the public eye like that and having to deal with pushy and powerful multi-billionaires is worth the pay in my books.
