I voted for the male swimmer photo because there are no distractions to the main subject which is also well placed in the frame (great composition). It also clearly tells a sports story without any analysis required. Very straight forward image which was well done by the photographer. I feel like I'm there at the swim meet. The image has both impact and emotion. Love the podcast and your blog!
This picture is a direct result and product of BLFS suggestions to do something different. I wouldn't have thought of shooting football at 1/20 sec. without your prodding to pull your head out. Thank you and thanks for the T shirt . I think what you guys are doing for us half assers is great. Would rather have gotten a D4 instead of a T shirt though!
