Tracy.....our state has a $4 return for every $1 the state invests in the arts. If you want our state to grow and be competitive on a national level it is vitial that the arts and culture are supported by our state government. New business will NOT relocate to a state that does not offer culture to its employes and their children. It is also a proven fact that children who are exposed to the arts score better in math and science. It is imperative if we hope to compete.

its stupid, indefensible, ironic to stop funding art, music, speech language pathology for ourtchildren.

The arts are a major economic force in Oklahoma. OAC's funding is a drop in the budget bucket and repays the taxpayers in real economic growth over and over again.

Good Grief! This country is going bankrupt! You can't keep taking money from working men and women because eventually you drive people away from making money and wanting to better themselves. Why work when you can get welfare! The State of Oklahoma does not have an infinite supply of money to fund everything and it is way past due at looking at all expenditures. The Federal Govt. can print money; however, the folks who have a few brain cells left understand that every time money is printed that groceries and necessities go up in price because it takes more dollars to purchase those goods. The Federal govt. is thieving from retirees and every mom and dad who needs groceries, every time they print money.

Art can be funded through charity. It shouldn't get it's support from a government.
