The stars at CB are just gonna have to suck it up and rotate, plus it's pretty much guaranteed that either Rivas or Nesta will have to bench some games to spare their knees.

4-2-3-1. The strenght of the Impact is in the midfield. If you control the midfield, you control the game.

5-2-1-2 If you have 3 CBs use them. I don't see any of those guys sitting out healthy, but they probably all won't be available at the same time often. 5 back allows the wide backs to really be involved offensively coming up the wings and they can mix it up with the mids and send crosses in. Plus you have the offensive anchor position still available behind the strikers for finishing passes.

Imposible to play 3/5/2, for that you need good paced defenders with speed that can match forwards in counter attacks, asset that nesta and ferrari lack. Should stick to 4/2/3/1.
