The facilities were somewhat limited at the time of my stay. The wood shop was still under construction, and the garden was nonexistent. The 10 hrs/week work exchange program was totally manageable (technically optional but everyone does it). We made our own meals. We had morning meetings once a week, and critiques whenever artists desired them, but besides that our time was free to work and the atmosphere was respectful and serious.
The director is wonderful! She's got an infectiously positive attitude, and does a good job of focussing discussion in a critical but compassionate way.
I would definitely go back.

I definitely enjoyed staying at CAC.
