In a spinoff I'm fine with humans, but not in the main show, I feel that it takes away or diminishes the magics of the show.

  • Lai-Lai - 11 years ago

I'm against the humanization, sexualization, or romantic pairing of ponies. I'm fine with creepypasta though. anyone seen "story of the Blanks?"

  • LunarGuard12 - 11 years ago

I think this might just work, so long as there is a good enough back story.

  • Ohmeko - 11 years ago

If the characters keep their personalities and voice actors bring on the Equestrian Girls spin off. Though as most fans point out I would have rather like the show to be more about ponies than actually human girls, but what can we do about it.

  • Jaboll252 - 11 years ago

    @Jaboll252 sucks

    0/10

my two cents. it all depends on if the spin off takes place in a fantasy world or not. though the "concept" (rumored) art depicts them in high school, the article never said they would be, it just said human form. it very well could be another epic fantasy land with just as much magic and awesome. imagine a magic the gathering type of scenario, they travel to an alternate plane of reality with new danger's and challenges, and must work together to overcome in order to accomplish something to keep the balance of reality in order. I know that's really out there and highly unlikely, but with the information we currently have, it could be pretty much anything. now if it really is high school, there wouldn't be any continuity with FIM. the ponies (as far as we know) are fully grown and past the schooling age, they have full time jobs, (except rainbow, she's part time) and they already know their talents and what they wish to do in life. If anything, I would expect it to be like PPG and PPGZ, where the characters are technically the same, but its a completely different universe.

I don't mind seeing images of ponies as humans, but I prefer the show to be about ponies. Also, the ones that were supposed to be part of the show just looked...bad.

  • Zerxies - 11 years ago

If I was lucky enough to be a techno-colored horse, I'd die before reverting back to human.

  • m00g13 - 11 years ago

I like em as they are - ponies.

  • zeppy - 11 years ago

honestly why does anyone care? I'll give it a shot, but it's not like I'm gonna be mad if it sucks or something.

  • Jaboll252 sucks - 11 years ago

@ Jaboll252 Quote : "No one is going to replace your precious ponies." If you don't like the characters being ponies, then why are you even here? If you don't like it : "Get LOST!" no one is gonna miss you with your constant meddling! Cry somewhere else!

  • mundotaku - 11 years ago

The only pony that is allowed to be human is Lyra !!!!

  • Ashley - 11 years ago

I mean, for one episode maybe. I could see it if Twi tried some random spell, or if it was a dream, or some thing like that. otherwise no, no humanized ponies. It just wouldn't be "My Little PONY" anymore.

  • Xophistos - 11 years ago

It is not that i really have a problem wit the human ponies it is just i don't like how they look. Like the boots and how they were the same color they were before.

  • DuckThom - 11 years ago

Humans should turn into ponies ^_^

  • Maphysto - 11 years ago

So long as they leave the original show alone, I have no beef with a spinoff series. It looks predictably bland and I'll just avoid watching it.

  • Air - 11 years ago

I'm completely fine with humanized fan art but this is a big 'no' for me.

  • Aurum - 11 years ago

Sigh, it's all for the money, isn't it?

  • gokudomatic - 11 years ago

If you want humanized ponies, do your worst. But do it somewhere else. I don't want to see that, especially in the show.
Most cartoons feature humans. But the cartoons who had the greatest success didn't feature humans. Same for MLP.

  • thesecret1 - 11 years ago

Humans? NOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPENOPE! If I wanted to watch humans do stuff, I'd go see any of the hundreds of other shows. I came here for pony, so keep it pony!

  • pinormous - 11 years ago

@Rainbow Dash makes a great point; Lyra HAS to be in Equestria Girls. It's too perfect not to happen.

  • TexasUberAlles - 11 years ago

LOLNOPE. Humans ruin everything forever; if this ever becomes a regular continuity thing, I'm out.

"Equestria Girls" (as reported so far) is a coathanger abortion of a show. I dearly love Friendship Is Magic, but the first episode of FIM that has a crossover with EG is my last episode. %#$& humans, they belong in fanfic, not onscreen.

  • PinkmanPie - 11 years ago

I'm fine with it as long as it doesn't touch real ponies. I'm good with trying a spin-off, but if there are crossovers, that would get real stupid, real fast if you ask me. But who knows. Maybe they could make it cool. Not particularly liking the human designs though.

  • lolwatchyourback - 11 years ago

just don't do that please /: even if is a spin-off movie don't do that.

  • nathanisbored - 11 years ago

Maybe if they were more solid colored... and had horse ears... and they were furry...

  • Tradley - 11 years ago

I honestly went for "Keep the ponies ponies, but add humans too"

  • TheBeatlesPkmnFan42 - 11 years ago

    @ StrengthUnknown

You aren't the only one excited. As a fan of MLP in general, I look forward to everything in the franchise. People are overreacting to this way to much imo.

To the people freaking out: Equestria Girls is a spinoff, and will not affect FiM in ANY way at all!

  • Meg - 11 years ago

I don't see the harm in humanizing the ponies. It could be a fun idea, just give it a try.

  • Zorygon - 11 years ago

The show is going to stay the same, this is just a spin-off, meaning that you dont have to watch if you dont like it, so please stop acting like its the end of the world. Either way i dont give a sh*t about it.

  • Jaboll252 - 11 years ago

    @Buttershy

Geez, nobody wants change this show to "my little human". So far it was just a kind of fanart we enjoyed. If you see a fanart with cat or robot versions of ponies, you also freak out like that? Now we're supposedly getting this new show, which is allso just a spin off, not main thing. No one is going to replace your precious ponies.

  • Xidphel - 11 years ago

As for crossovers, if they're from the same company, CHANCES are there is gonna be a crossover. Equestrian girls is MLP as humans so yeah. If the spinoff is done right and the crossover is ok, I don't mind.

Also, it's not just Hasbro. Kamen Rider and Super Sentai had at least 2 crossovers: Decade/Shinkenger episode and Super Hero Taisen.

  • Xidphel - 11 years ago

Green, Megan. Sombra. That is all.

As for humanizing ponies, I wouldn't mind if it's done right.

  • green whip pine - 11 years ago

the only reason i dont what humans is becouse, humans do bad hings and are bad people while peonies are not, but i woulndt have a problam whith humanized but keep the magic, the streanth and the wings apart,

  • Buttershy - 11 years ago

She show is called "My Little PONY" and not "My Little Human" and it should stay that way!

  • a - 11 years ago

Four legs good, two legs bad.

  • Galiquany - 11 years ago

If we are talking about humanized ponies in general, I really enjoy it.

If we are talking about the spin-off show in particular, I'm not really okay with it. If the designs were better, then I would be okay, but as is those girls really look bad.

  • leffe - 11 years ago

If the rumors are true, i'll give this "new show" a shot but i'll never give up my little pony. Since it is the reason why saturdays are 20 percent cooler. But, keep FiM and this "new show" appart from each other. I don't really like the idea about making a crossover between the ponies and the "humans"(or whatever they'll be called).

Keep calm and brony on /)

  • Groudon199 - 11 years ago

I've always been iffy about humanized ponies (really hate the "human just because, and they act as if they've always been that way" stuff), but I'll at least give the show a chance.

  • Rainbow Dash - 11 years ago

How About an: "I like the idea of humans, but their concept art looks ugly, and High school is a bad idea, and where is Lyra?" option

  • pinormous - 11 years ago

As long as Equestria Girl's canon is completely separate from FiM's canon, then it's fine (I can accept a crossover once or twice).

  • AMarkstein - 11 years ago

For the people who think one show won't affect the other remember who you are dealing with. Hasbro will do cross-over episodes just to try and get people to watch Equestria Girls. The shows will have an impact on each other. Think like a business first because, that is what Hasbro is first and foremost.

  • HasterAtDawn - 11 years ago

I will watch the first episode of this new thing and it may even be ok (I seriously doubt it but I've been wrong before) but I do not want it to have anything to do with the main show. I can imagine Hasbro wanting to crossover the two shows which would just completely ruin FiM for me. Keep it separate, keep it safe.

  • StrengthUnknown - 11 years ago

I guess I'm not the only one actually a bit excited with the new show. As long as it doesn't screw with the main one, that is.

  • lel - 11 years ago
