I hate to be a pessimist when I am always striving to be an optimist and I do still believe in God's will being unknown and prevailing in the long run with something good/better than what we expected. Something good always (eventually) comes out of something bad. He has you, his health, his skills and intellect and a great sense of humor, so I vote for him being okay in the long run and give total permission to jump, curse, stomp and pout as much as he needs to-he earned that right.
