Okay, I don't want to start a fight, so don't all get your panties in a wad over this but who the hell is Girls Generation or whatever? I've never even heard of them even once? Are they from a reality show or something? I am a huge fan of David Cook and don't really care if he wins a poll like this or not because his fans will buy his albums regardless. They have proven to be loyal time and time again which will give him staying power in the business even if he is not a super huge mega star. He is OUR star and that is really all that matter and the fact that he can continue doing what he loves to do :) Good luck to everyone's artists and just remember if you don't buy their albums and continue to follow them in good times AND bad then they won't get far in the business or have the staying power to last which in the long run is really all that matters. I am sure if you ask any one of them if they would rather be super famous for a few months as opposed to being somewhat successful (enough to continue with a label) for years and years they would choose the latter but unless you are a true fan and actually BUY the albums and go to the concerts, they fade away like so many of our favorites have in the past....sorry didn't mean to make this a lecture but it is all true :/

I don't think Archies understand that Girls' Generation fans have beat out One Direction's fans and, more impressively, Big Bang's fans. We're just the ultimatum. We're not from South Korea, us voters, though Girls' Generation is a South-Korean group. Do understand that Girls' Generation has many international fans after being on David Letterman, Live! with Kelly and Le Grand Journal, selling out Madison Square Garden and the Staples Centre about immediately after the release of tickets.
Billboard.com, the New York Times, the Straits Times, the Guardian and E! News are just a few of the media sites that have mentioned or written articles about them. They've also been interviewed by Access Hollywood, as they've got two Korean-American members and two other members fluent in English.

@9isbetterthan1 : Funny, the same thing happened to me. I used to hate pop music (I still do tbh) but started to listen to them because my sis is just fond of K-pop. I wasn't serious at the begining, was even laughing at the girls while watching their MVs. But then I started to really enjoy their music, and I wondered what was happening to me :D Now it's become an obsession. I've never felt that way before about an artist. I watch all their variety shows, open the fanpage like 10 times a day, their music is like 50% of what I listen to, and i just can't get enough :P My dream is to see them live, and as a citizen of Belgium (Western Europe) I believe an English album could make that dream come true.

GG are 9 Glimmering Gems who sparkle throughout the world. Their love for Sones is second to none, and their character and integrity is unmatched. They have shown me (us) a whole New World of pop music that is fun, uplifting, and helps their fans get through the toughest days. They have had to live in dorms and sacrificed their freedom, their families, their personal agendas, and much of their teenage years just to reach their dreams and those of sones. I could never hope to equal their commitment to love and to each other. Eventually they will go their own way but they will always be SNSD and will never be forgotten. This world is a better place because of Soshi. So keep fighting, keep singing, and keep loving! Girls Generation forever!!

It's amazing to see how much Sones has pulled through for GG. I can say for sure that I'm very proud to be part of this fandom. And now with Taeyeon's 24th (25th in Korean standards) it's amazing to see how far our girls have come in the six years since their debut. My dream of an English song from them came true in 2011 with the release of 'The Boys' and now I'm anxiously waiting for their full English album. I can say without a doubt that these nine girls have been there for Sones for as long as we've been there for them. They've introduced us to a New World and showed us the strength of Girls Generation. And though some people like to Talk Talk about them badly, they better RunDevilRun because I won't be Kissing You Baby. It's been a Hoot as their fan. Oh and I forgot to mention that they granted my wish as my Genie. They traveled around with Mr. Taxi and eventually went with motorcycles like a Bad Girl. But when the end of the year came around they brought The Boys out. And though some of them took a break TaeTiSeo took Baby Steps and showed us their Twinkle. I thought that they could take a break in Japan but the Paparrazi followed them there. But they showed them their Flower Power. The dazzled on the dance floor like a Dancing Queen. And Gee, I forgot they Got A Boy now. I love you GG, you'll always have my support! That's a Promise! And when you come to America don't get Lost In Live when you walk down Romantic Street! Briana I agree David Archuleta seems like an outstanding character. And from watching American Idol, he got very nice voice to boot and a down to earth humble person. But you should realize that he is just one likable character and GG has nine members who are also outstanding characters who also worked hard and is compassionate, and cares for friends, fan, and the world in general. And like The Truman Show, we watched them grow from a young, innocent teens into a successful, humble, and caring young ladies right before our eyes. So I hope David is very successful in his comeback. I'll be rooting for my favorite girls to be successful in America. This would be historic if they can make it here and I'm most excited to see if that can happen with their 2013 album and hence my full support!

I just wanted to share a bit about how/why we love David after reading so many nice things about your girls here. I have nothing but respect for fans of other artists because I know exactly where you're coming from. The way you love GG is the way I love David. Just wanted to share that respect with you guys.

well i want share a little thing about GG like Britania did about David Archie
GG is a girlgroup from south korean that has nine members. (consist of Taeyeon, Jessica, Seohyun, Tiffany, Sunny, Yuri, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Yoona)
5 Members are strong in Vocal and 4 members are strong in Dancing
They have different characters in their own personality but they always be one personality in the stage, That is Girls Generation, and it's one of the reasons why SONE love GG so much
They struggle so much from their debut until now, they even got Black Ocean (Most direspectful thing in a concert) from The Biggest Fandom of Korea in 2008, but they never got angry and sad from that incident but it became a spirit for them to be better, in 2009 they released single "Gee" and it became the song of decade in South Korea and it was raising up GG to be the Most Popular Artist in South Korea and SONE was being one of the biggest fandom in South Korea even Asia!
They always humble to any fans even their haters, they always say to SONE "Don't blame other fandom or artist" and "Haters, please don't hate sone, hate us not SONE"

I admit I don't know much about Girls Generation but they seem good from the stuff posted here. They certainly have dedicated fans. :)
Let me tell you a little about my fave. David Archuleta is just about the sweetest, most humble guy you could ever meet. He's always promoting other's music and encouraging people to support good artists. He cares about people. Right now he's gone for two years on a mission for his church so his fans are missing him alot. He worked so hard before he left to prepare music for us to be released while he's away. That's why we're so excited about his album coming out. He's not even here to promote it himself so we fans have taken that on. He's our guy! I'm sure all of you know how it feels to hope the best for your favorite.
Anyway. I just wanted to share a little about David for those who might not know him. He has the most gorgeous voice but an even more gorgeous heart. He would be the first to say GOOD LUCK to everyone else in this poll. So I'll say it for him -- Good Luck to all the artists here! I'll be voting for my guy but that doesn't mean I wish anyone else bad. I hope the albums of all five finalists do very well

For those who have been wondering, Girls' Generation is a Korean-pop group of nine members with two American members who speak English fluently. They are also good in Japanese. Girls' Generation has been on 'David Letterman', 'Live! With Kelly', featured on the 'New York Times, 'Billboard.com' and has a record of a song lasting nine consecutive weeks at the top of charts in South Korea. They have worked with Michael Jackson's producer, Teddy Riley, on their single 'The Boys', released in three languages. Since then, they have, with other artistes of their company, sold out Madison Square Garden and the Staples Centre, as well as a venue in Paris, also guesting on the 'Le Grand Journal' in France.
Please do not insult our girls or their fans. Their fans are respectful enough to sit down in airports behind barriers so as to not cause ruckus or noise to welcome them well. We also donate rice, mango saplings and build wells in less fortunate and developing countries in tribute to them as they encourage giving and loving all. Okay, I don't want to start a fight, so don't all get your panties in a wad over this but who the hell is Girls Generation or whatever? I've never even heard of them even once? Are they from a reality show or something? I am a huge fan of David Cook and don't really care if he wins a poll like this or not because his fans will buy his albums regardless. They have proven to be loyal time and time again which will give him staying power in the business even if he is not a super huge mega star. He is OUR star and that is really all that matter and the fact that he can continue doing what he loves to do :) Good luck to everyone's artists and just remember if you don't buy their albums and continue to follow them in good times AND bad then they won't get far in the business or have the staying power to last which in the long run is really all that matters. I am sure if you ask any one of them if they would rather be super famous for a few months as opposed to being somewhat successful (enough to continue with a label) for years and years they would choose the latter but unless you are a true fan and actually BUY the albums and go to the concerts, they fade away like so many of our favorites have in the past....sorry didn't mean to make this a lecture but it is all true :/

I don't think Archies understand that Girls' Generation fans have beat out One Direction's fans and, more impressively, Big Bang's fans. We're just the ultimatum. We're not from South Korea, us voters, though Girls' Generation is a South-Korean group. Do understand that Girls' Generation has many international fans after being on David Letterman, Live! with Kelly and Le Grand Journal, selling out Madison Square Garden and the Staples Centre about immediately after the release of tickets.
Billboard.com, the New York Times, the Straits Times, the Guardian and E! News are just a few of the media sites that have mentioned or written articles about them. They've also been interviewed by Access Hollywood, as they've got two Korean-American members and two other members fluent in English.

@9isbetterthan1 : Funny, the same thing happened to me. I used to hate pop music (I still do tbh) but started to listen to them because my sis is just fond of K-pop. I wasn't serious at the begining, was even laughing at the girls while watching their MVs. But then I started to really enjoy their music, and I wondered what was happening to me :D Now it's become an obsession. I've never felt that way before about an artist. I watch all their variety shows, open the fanpage like 10 times a day, their music is like 50% of what I listen to, and i just can't get enough :P My dream is to see them live, and as a citizen of Belgium (Western Europe) I believe an English album could make that dream come true.

They have shown me (us) a whole New World of pop music that is fun, uplifting, and helps their fans get through the toughest days. They have had to live in dorms and sacrificed their freedom, their families, their personal agendas, and much of their teenage years just to reach their dreams and those of sones. It's amazing to see how much Sones has pulled through for GG. I can say for sure that I'm very proud to be part of this fandom. And now with Taeyeon's 24th (25th in Korean standards) it's amazing to see how far our girls have come in the six years since their debut. My dream of an English song from them came true in 2011 with the release of 'The Boys' and now I'm anxiously waiting for their full English album. I can say without a doubt that these nine girls have been there for Sones for as long as we've been there for them. They've introduced us to a New World and showed us the strength of Girls Generation. And though some people like to Talk Talk about them badly, they better RunDevilRun because I won't be Kissing You Baby. It's been a Hoot as their fan. Oh and I forgot to mention that they granted my wish as my Genie. They traveled around with Mr. Taxi and eventually went with motorcycles like a Bad Girl. But when the end of the year came around they brought The Boys out. And though some of them took a break TaeTiSeo took Baby Steps and showed us their Twinkle. I thought that they could take a break in Japan but the Paparrazi followed them there. But they showed them their Flower Power. The dazzled on the dance floor like a Dancing Queen. And Gee, I forgot they Got A Boy now. I love you GG, you'll always have my support! That's a Promise! And when you come to America don't get Lost In Live when you walk down Romantic Street! Briana I agree David Archuleta seems like an outstanding character. And from watching American Idol, he got very nice voice to boot and a down to earth humble person. But you should realize that he is just one likable character and GG has nine members who are also outstanding characters who also worked hard and is compassionate, and cares for friends, fan, and the world in general. And like The Truman Show, we watched them grow from a young, innocent teens into a successful, humble, and caring young ladies right before our eyes. So I hope David is very successful in his comeback. I'll be rooting for my favorite girls to be successful in America. This would be historic if they can make it here and I'm most excited to see if that can happen with their 2013 album and hence my full support!

well i want share a little thing about GG like Britania did about David Archie
GG is a girlgroup from south korean that has nine members. (consist of Taeyeon, Jessica, Seohyun, Tiffany, Sunny, Yuri, Sooyoung, Hyoyeon and Yoona)
5 Members are strong in Vocal and 4 members are strong in Dancing
They have different characters in their own personality but they always be one personality in the stage, That is Girls Generation, and it's one of the reasons why SONE love GG so much
They struggle so much from their debut until now, they even got Black Ocean (Most direspectful thing in a concert) from The Biggest Fandom of Korea in 2008, but they never got angry and sad from that incident but it became a spirit for them to be better, in 2009 they released single "Gee" and it became the song of decade in South Korea and it was raising up GG to be the Most Popular Artist in South Korea and SONE was being one of the biggest fandom in South Korea even Asia!
They always humble to any fans even their haters, they always say to SONE "Don't blame other fandom or artist" and "Haters, please don't hate sone, hate us not SONE"

I admit I don't know much about Girls Generation but they seem good from the stuff posted here. They certainly have dedicated fans. :)
Let me tell you a little about my fave. David Archuleta is just about the sweetest, most humble guy you could ever meet. He's always promoting other's music and encouraging people to support good artists. He cares about people. Right now he's gone for two years on a mission for his church so his fans are missing him alot. He worked so hard before he left to prepare music for us to be released while he's away. That's why we're so excited about his album coming out. He's not even here to promote it himself so we fans have taken that on. He's our guy! I'm sure all of you know how it feels to hope the best for your favorite.
Anyway. I just wanted to share a little about David for those who might not know him. He has the most gorgeous voice but an even more gorgeous heart. He would be the first to say GOOD LUCK to everyone else in this poll. So I'll say it for him -- Good Luck to all the artists here! I'll be voting for my guy but that doesn't mean I wish anyone else bad. I hope the albums of all five finalists do very well

For those who have been wondering, Girls' Generation is a Korean-pop group of nine members with two American members who speak English fluently. They are also good in Japanese. Girls' Generation has been on 'David Letterman', 'Live! With Kelly', featured on the 'New York Times, 'Billboard.com' and has a record of a song lasting nine consecutive weeks at the top of charts in South Korea. They have worked with Michael Jackson's producer, Teddy Riley, on their single 'The Boys', released in three languages. Since then, they have, with other artistes of their company, sold out Madison Square Garden and the Staples Centre, as well as a venue in Paris, also guesting on the 'Le Grand Journal' in France.
Please do not insult our girls or their fans. Their fans are respectful enough to sit down in airports behind barriers so as to not cause ruckus or noise to welcome them well. We also donate rice, mango saplings and build wells in less fortunate and developing countries in tribute to them as they encourage giving and loving all. SONEs have donated $36,000 in United States Dollars, to Japan in support of aid for the natural disasters there.
