Who should be IndyStar Mr. Basketball?

Chance Delois is the true hero this year. He has played twelve years with Epilepsy, never missing practices with new medication changes, broken foot, broken ankle and on a "team" instructed to give the ball to someone to create a high point scorer at the teams expense. What other varsity heroes play with a disability but are not not disabled. We have the wrong artificially made heroes. He is the true senior hero that won't tell people he is sick!

I think Collin Hartman, from Cathedral should be Mr Basketball because he has worked so hard during his basketball career just to have the rug pulled out from under him (with his concussion and broken wrist!) So, he has had to work even harder to be where he is today, due to his set backs this year. Collin sets a good example for others in many ways. He is a great leader, as well as a helper, on and off the court. Collin thinks before he does, yet responds before he thinks, especially on the basketball court. He makes a good friend as well as being a good friend. Being Collins Grandmother, I can see all sides of him. He is a loving and caring person to all people. I have seen him help a fallen opponent up off the court, making sure he was alright physically, as well as his own teammate. I have seen him ask a news reporter, how his family was doing, after he interviewed Collin!! I have seen Collin gather his teammates into a huddle to help regroup themselves after a foul that they thought should or shouldn't have been called. Collin is an all around good person both on the court and with his family.

All of these nominees are equally deserving of this title. If they weren't, they wouldn't have been nominated. So lets stop all the one uppers trying to out do someone else as to why their favorite isn't as good as yours. This isn't the real vote anyway. I too have a favorite from my home town/alma mater on this list but We should just be happy for and proud of ALL these boys' accomplishments.

Clay, it's a school night. Time to go to bed. It's not the real poll anyway so you're wasting your time..... +500 votes and counting the last 40 minutes.

Ha! He just went up 60 votes in the last 2 minutes since I posted the last comment. This poll is now officially pointless.

Someone must be bored tonight. Yeo's vote count has went up 300 in the last half hour which makes this poll useless now because obviously it's allowing people to vote multiple times.

Triton's Clay Yeo has started every varsity game since he entering high school. He's played in the state finals during his sophomore season. His senior year he has averaged just under 27 points per game while only attempting an average of 17 shots per game. That's production! During his career, Triton has been conference champions or co-champions all 4 years. Triton has won their sectional all 4 years of his career. He is the school's all-time scoring leader for career and for a season, along with most points in a single game. Clay Yeo is a winner and very deserving of the title "Mr. Basketball".

I must add he is also a 2,000 point scorer in his career!

Tiptons mike crawford averages almost 30 points a game and has a high school record of 92 and 13 more wins than anyone on this list I feel he stands by himself and we play in semi-state this Saturday!
