As I mentioned in my previous comment... I am not accusing any particular person of "cheating". However, I am stating the FACTS (which may or may not pertain to this voting competition- but quite possibly might). I have witnessed MANY things being at a major label that most people have not and will probably never see. I personally think Anthem Lights is a fantastic group of guys with great talent! I understand that they have many fans who are very passionate about them and what they do. I also understand they are a Christian group (please note that my comments have nothing to do with them being Christian. I, myself am also a Christian and I think what they do is excellent. *And to all the people shocked that they call themselves Christians and they (or people affiliated with the group) are potentially using performance enhancing bots- GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE. I know for a fact that people who call themselves Christians take more heat for error in character or judgement than the general public. Sure, it's part of the job description, but seriously, we're all human. Don't try make my comment about religion... I'm not "hating" because they're spiritual; I'm really not hating at all- I'm just observing... And don't try to tell me that my observations are flawed... Because they're not. They're actually quite accurate). I will say... Just because someone is a Christian doesn't mean someone in their camp doesn't mind giving the votes a little boost... Again not accusing Anthem Lights directly. I'm basing my accusations (if you must) on previous knowledge of the industry and mathematical evidence... By the way, the argument that they have "better" and more dedicated fans is irrelevant in this competition. The artists in this competition have huge online followings (many of them, larger and equally as dedicated as the fans of Anthem Lights). Anthem Lights put out a great cover and they have a big following... But Alyssa Bernal, Alex Goot, Megan and Liz, Alex G, Tanner Patrick, TwentyForSeven, Debby Ryan, Nick Santino, Dave Days, Sam Tsui, Midnight Red, Tiffany Alvord and many of the others have an even bigger following. And they were telling their fans (who are also very passionate) to vote! If Gaga's "Monsters" were driving up the percentage of total votes at such an accelerate rate, I think we'd all be a bit more understanding. Don't argue that 'Light Bulbs' are just more dedicated because that's a lame argument. In fact, don't argue at all, because arguing is just lame. But DO consider the information I have provided to be a legitimate and potential "game changer" in determining the overall outcome of this competition. I am not blaming fans, band members, or any particular part of a camp, but something smells peculiar. I'm just here to call out what I see; or perhaps "smell"; (It's fishy).

I think this is absolutely ridiculous! AL does NOT cheat that has got to be the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! Just because your artist isn't winning doesn't mean that the ones that are winning are cheating! AL is a great group, I have met them personally and know they would never encourage cheating!

A Christian band finally gets some attention and people complain...nice. Christian bands have a much bigger fan base than most non-Christian music fans realize - Tobymac has 1.5m and Chris Tomlin has 1.7m facebook likes, for instance. Fans of the Christian band Manic Drive raised $5000 for their upcoming tour for them just within a few weeks - there were "81 Funders" that raised the money. MD has less than half the 'Facebook likes' as Anthem Lights (and AL has about 5x more Twitter followers than MD) ...
So it's not a "number-of-fans" thing, it's a support thing.

In less than 2 weeks Anthem Lights will be releasing a compilation of the covers they have done on itunes. As soon as it is available thousands of copies will sell almost immediately. I have met the guys 3 times in the last year and can tell you that they are honest, wonderful young men who would not jeopardize their reputations by cheating in this contest. There are more important things that they want to do than to win a cover contest. Their fans appreciate the respect that they receive from Alan, Caleb, Chad & Joey. Therefore we vote each day per the rules.

Nobody is claiming AL is not good, thats not the issue. Their youtube views, followers, etc dont warrant the large lead. I used bots before and agree with Conner. I tried it, you cant even move the needle with 50 votes (that means I would have to vote 3800x and with NOT 1 SINGLE VOTE for another artist) just to catch up.) Base that on the other artist votes, how many tweets, FB were linked here, thats more than 90,000k votes. AL fan base doesn't warrant that, they are not that big of a group factually (you really didnt compare to Beyonce and Maroon 5 did you).
Also stop with the "the are religious" and would never cheat bit, there fans are the best,....feeling a little high and mighty.

These comments sure smell funny...sort of like whiny children because someone else is getting more than them. I personally know these young men and there is a greater chance of martians landing in the USA than these guys encouraging anyone to cheat. They have a very loyal fan base that loves them enough to vote as many times as they can and to spread the word for their friends to vote. BTW I am a grown woman not a young starry eyed girl and I know talent when I hear it! Anthem Lights are TALENTED as well as GODLY young men.

I don't know what "label" Jimmy worked at, but the label that Anthem Lights is with.. yeah, they don't roll like that. They are a Christian group. They would never cheat. Sure, they notified their fans to vote for them and then their fan spread the word. Just like a couple of other comments mentioned, y'all have no way of figuring out the "statistics". They are only percents, not actual numbers. So, the part where y'all say that they have 200 votes per minute, is bogus. They honor God and they have talent. If there is any reason as to why they are ahead, it is because they are really good. I'm not trashing the others, but Anthem Lights just has talent and an awesome fan base that is always eager and willing to spread the word. If anything is bogus, it is y'all making the assumption that they are cheating, just because they are ahead. It doesn't matter how many fans the others have, Anthem Lights fans just know how to vote. Oh, and it's not their fans cheating either. Most of the "Lightbulbs" influence is from Anthem Lights, and they sure as heck don't preach to their fans to cheat. I smell it too. I worked for a major label and every time we had an artist in a voting contest, we used third party voting bots to boost the votes at an alarming rate. Based on the votes per minute, it was mathematically impossible to beat these bots. The label said "we can't have our artists lose... It makes them look bad and it makes US look bad." I'm not necessarily accusing anyone in particular, but I know what goes on and I definitely smell something.

I am confused how anyone can know the total # of votes that have been placed and how someone would have to get 200 votes a minute to have that percentage. I have 27 years of accounting and statistics experience, and I know how percentages are figured. It is not really that important to me, as I know these guys will keep making awesome music no matter if their video "wins" or not. I just do not understand how voters are cheating. But, let's not put blame on the band and attack their Christianity. WOW. Pretty judgmental. Then again, maybe it is their Christianity that some have a problem with. Peace everyone....
