I was first exposed to Cunard in the 1950's when my parents travelled on Cunard. Since then it was a dream for me to be able to take a trans Atlantic crossing on Cunard which we did for my retirement in 2008. Queen Mary II is like no other. We travelled on the new Queen Elizabeth on her maiden season and we were not disappointed. Our next trip we are planning will be on Queen Victoria and another trans Atlantic on Queen Mary II is also on the books.

We travel Cunard because it is different than the other lines. Their dress and class sets them apart and that's what makes them so special. Relaxing the dress code just makes them the same as any other cruise line and they're not "any other cruise line." Please, keep yourselves different. People who want class and sophistication choose Cunard. People who just want to be on a ship choose the others.

Cunard has a name and a reputation and they were not built on open shirts.
