#11 Massenbaum for Vaux should have been ejected from this game. Intentional elbow to the head and NO CALL. Center official table side was looking directly at this flagrant foul. With Massenbaum out of the game for Q2 'Burg went on a second quarter tear.

I don't think people can use the game records against the plays. Vaux is from Phile which has more difficult teams than around Elk County. Lots of city kids only have basketball. Vaux has Rysheed which will be a difficult player. Burg may be determined, but so is Vaux.

My money is on johnsonburg. They may not have the height advantage but they definitely have the team play, heart and determination to win this game and I believe they will win this game! Go rams bring home the title!!

Johnsonburg proved that team play trumps all-star play by beating Linkin Park. 'Burg is a lot quicker than most teams anticipate them to be. The Rams quickness and team play caught LP by surprise. Also, the Rams are a heady second half team. They make intelligent adjustments at half time. When the Rams get down they find a way to come back. And when they get a lead they make good choices. If Vaux thinks that all they have to do is show up they (Vaux) are in for a surprise. Grumley's mother, Sue, played in two state championship games in the late '70's. She and Jim (Dad) will have their son in the right frame of mind and he in turn will have the rest of the Rams ready for the upset. Give Jordan his points and shut down the rest. Watch and see.

@divens..."sad to see this a state championship game.?" seriously? the sad part is that Vaux is closing its school at the end of this school year. doesn't say too much for charter schools.

Sure Jordan is a good ball player. How did they lose 8 games ? Not gettin in to the charter chat, let Lincoln Park do the talkin

who really cares where the votes are coming from. who care if they didnt play against a player like rhyseed jordan. atleast these lids all know and grew up together. all these charter school is not right at all. the kids on those teams know each maybe a month at a time cuz all they do is stack a team. if that makes a player feel like a champ then he is not a real player. a real player has heart and wants to play as a team, the team where he lives not where he goes to play to win.

I could not help but respond to " divens" .. He may or may not be right , but he makes my argument for me , to wit : All these Charters with their division 1 superstars , all these kids that are recruited from one school to another , from one year to another should either have to play by the same rules as the Publics or the Publics allowed to operate under the same rules or lack of said rules as they. Also , I don't know where or what Vaux is or for that matter ,MC&S ??... On the other hand I do know where Johnsonburg is and what it is , a small town , an actual community where all the kids attend school for all 12 grades ...

Don't underestimate the JOHNSONBURG RAMS !!!! They are a determined bunch of boys. Not too many thought they'd beat Lincoln Park---> BUT THEY DID.

  • Divens - 11 years ago

Vaux will win by 30+ points. This might be the worst opponent they have played yet this season. Sad to see this game as a state final game. Should be Vaux and MC&S.

No they may not have height, but they sure have what it takes to bring down the giants. They did it once and can do it again.
It's how you play the game, not what ya bring to it.

Must be all Western PA voters. Johnsonburg's tallest player is 6'1" They better be a great bunch of shooters. I doubt that they have ever seen a player like Rhyseed Jordan
