It appears that most of the elected officials in Norwalk are in favor of the proposed casino. I would urge them to consider what the overall affects of the casino will be. I have relatives living in altoona and they are still waiting for the proposed tax relief promised years ago. With a casino 30 miles east and south of Norwalk do you really think the one in here will be any more successful than Waterloo or Council Bluffs. I would urge people to think what type of development they want for Norwalk. West Des Moines has only one way to expand - south. There is alreay development starting south of Orilla and more to come. Development around the highway 5 area will come - it may take 4 of 5 years but it will come. Development will start in Norwalk but what type do you want. Please take your time and make the correct decision for the future of Norwalk.
