Do robotic pets (more broadly, social robots) deserve the same legal protections as living dogs and cats?
Absolutely. If it serves as a companion, it should have legal rights. Even when its battery goes dead.
No way. Machines aren't alive, period. No matter how much they seem to hurt.
Uhh. Tormenting social robots is icky, but shouldn't be illegal -- just a bad idea.
