I hope it will be built. I hope it's a success, but Titanic II? Just asking for trouble. How about "RMS Titanic (Replica)" instead? As far as I understand, there will be a class system, but for everyone to experience and enjoy. I hope that the Propulsion is provided by steam reciprocating engines with the 24 boilers providing the Steam. Oil might be more likely to be used than coal though. This will ensure that the Steam enthusiast fraternity play a large part in it's succes. If the ship is presented as a Cruise ship museum experience that people can pay to spend being aboard for a week or two, it will be a major success. What routes will it cover? It will always have to be Southampton to New York to make it more real. This may upset Cunard though! So what could possibly go wrong? Well nothing if it is to be equiped with todays modern technology, unless it hits an Iceberg and sinks, of course.

I agree with many things said about the ship. I just wanted to add my 2 cents into it.
I think it might be a good idea to build the ship as a memorial, making a realistic version of the ship that people can walk through and experience. Maybe turning it into a historical park kind of monument.
(Although I'm sure one already exists, this is just an idea).
As for cruises, turning it into a cruise ship, with weekly cruises, I agree it would not fill up, unless the prices were comparable to that time as well. If your going to offer a cruise on a ship like that for the prices of now, forget it. Personally, if the airfare was low and more, I might cruise on it, as our world revolves around wifi, television, technology. Though I really don't like sharing a bathroom or using a public shower, the peace and quiet of no tv, no wifi, no technology, card games for entertainment, I could use a week away like that, even longer sometimes. Point is, it would be great to step away from technology for awhile, live like the older days. But again, it would have to be for those prices as well for it to be a success. If your going to make a ship like that and ask to sell tickets at the same price as today, it won't work. Wishing everyone a great day!! :-)
