SE LLAMA HIGUERILLA (/egheriya/ más o menos). En la foto se ven muy viejas, secas o quizá recibieron mucha agua salada. También se la conoce como RICINO, y de ella se obtiene el aceite de ricino (castor oil).
Its seeds are poisonous so they are not consumed directly but are pressed and subjected to solvent extraction to obtain oil.

The oil is not normally considered edible, but has multiple uses:

    Refined has pharmaceutical use.
Crude is used as an emulsifier for household disinfectants, and pesticides industry.
Modified is used as hydraulic oil, paint solvent, dye impregnation of textiles and leather, natural waxes melt and chemical as well as in the manufacture of polymers.

Well, a nutshell would be hard, and an eggshell would be soft. However, what came out of it, could go either way, it could be an embryo or it could be a nut! You're right, you're on your own on this one!
