    LOL @ Spuffy haters.
Liz. First, what do you care what are others’ preferences. Second, this poll was not about Angel, he had nothing to do with it. I’m sorry for you but he lost the bracket long before and was left behind (again). Third, your arguments are ridiculous. Yes, spuffy happened because Angel left for his own show. So what? In the very first place bangel happened because Whedon created BTWS (and decided to throw in a bit of romance to appeal to the young hearts), also, had Angel not left BTVS their so called romance (yawns) would have ended all the same, because there was nothing more his character could have done in BTVS (except bore us to death, maybe?). It’s a show, you know, not real life, therefore ALL that happens is for the will of the writers. Fact is the writers wanted Buffy to love Spike in the end. And I understand it’s hard to accept the truth but come on, if you can’t deal with it, do something less childish than going around making up things to bash a character only because he out placed your darling Angel in Buffy’s heart (and because he has more fans IMO).
Hey, I’ve an idea! You could write a fanfiction! You have such a great fantasy ;D
“Buffy gave Spike the necklace in Chosen was because she couldn't bare to lose Angel again”... OMG! She told you that personally?? LOLOLOL

Fuck this, I watch glee and I ship klaine but ryan murphy is a horrible writer the spike buffy storyline is amazing, Joss whedon is a genius and anyone who voted Klaine over spike buffy should watch all the buffy seasons and then sit alone in regret.

While I love Buffy and Spike, (and I do love them!) I voted for Kurt and Blaine. Why? Because I feel like they are forever, that their love is true and unquestionable. If you watch Glee, there are no doubts about their relationship, even now that they are broken up. In Buffy, we fans always questioned whether Buffy and Spike really loved eachother,or only lusted or THOUGHT they loved eachother. I feel like Kurt and Blaine's love is the strongest of the two.

Well, first, yes Spike and Buffy Still have an ongoing relation (Buffy season 9 in comics), if well not as a couple (yet), they are friends allies, and when Buffy thougth she was pregnant she was going to ask him to be with her, ..to help her, That is a relationship.
Second, sorry to disapoint you Liz, but yes Spike is special, not just for us the fans but for the writers and creators of the character. If you see the 6th and 7th season DVD comentaries, you would find multiple references to that (FROM JOSS WHEDON EVEN). Spike has allways been able to love, to feel more that other vampires. that was evident since the episode "THE JUDGE" when he was able to touch Angelus without problem, but not Spike or Drusilla, they had to much humanity in them. so no, no every vampire in the Buffyverse is the same.
Besides if what he felt for Buffy pre-soul was just lust or obsetion, why then he stayed after she died, why, whe all possibility for him to "have her" was gone. For love, it was love, it is love .

I am totally standing behind my Klaine pairing :D
I tried to reason ways why these two guys wouldn't have worked out had the fourth season not been screwed in every single direction.

From the memories of Buffy I have from my high school years, when I actually wrote it on my SAT essay portion, I did like the show but it never gave me the INTENSITY of the pairings. Spike and Buffy is a pairing with the leads and, in that and other ways, I compare more to Finchel.

Now Willow and Tara, that is a couple that spoke more to me than Spuffy, plus they have more in common with Klaine given the LBGT love story.

Love Buffy and Spike. They loved each other even though she tried to hide it

  • Annie - 11 years ago

And Spike and Buffy are together? LOL! At least Kurt and Blaine still have an ongoing story and look to be whatever screwed up version of endgame Ryan Murphy peddles. Spike and Buffy were a diversion at best. How are Cliff and Claire out of this again? They were the best.

  • nutbastard - 11 years ago

Liz, of course soulless vampires knew what love was and how to love. Look how torn up Spike was after Dru left him. Look at the lengths he went to try and get her back.

  • Liz - 11 years ago

Spike was NOT in love with Buffy before he got his soul. He was OBSESSED with her. He LUSTED after her. But he did not LOVE her until he got a soul. Spike, like all other soulless vampires, did not know how to love. He knew what physical attraction and lust were, but he didn't know what love was. Spuffy shippers need to stop it with this whole "Spike overcame blah blah blah and loved her without a soul blah blah blah" nonsense. In the Buffyverse, soulless vampires did not know how to love and soulless Spike was no different nor a special exception to the rule.

*cough cough* I'll have you know that though I am not a "tween" @Honey Bee, I have known all of these couples since my "tween" years. I am voting for Kurt and Blaine, not just because they're two attractive men, but because I believe their love is stronger. If it were, say Blaine and Sam and Kurt and Adam, I would vote against them, because Kurt and Blaine's heart belong to each other.

  • TADpole - 11 years ago

Spike was in love with Buffy before he got a soul. He overcame the literal demon in himself to stay by her side and prove to Buffy he was worth loving. He sought out his own soul for her. That is EPIC. In the end Buffy realized that she did love him. Angel and Buffy together was nothing compared to Buffy and Spike. Angel and Buffy were boring and childish. Angel left her instead of finding a way to be with her. Not to mention when he was without soul he never ever would have loved Buffy the way Spike did.

For those who use the argument that Klaine isn't even together anymore (though it's obvious they're well on their way to becoming a couple once more)... well... that should go both ways because last I checked, once Spike was resurrected over on "Angel," he didn't end up with Buffy when that show ended so...

  • Mikel - 11 years ago

Alright, if Klaine doesn't win i will set everyone on fire. Come on people. People are saying Kurt and Blaine aren't a couple. Your point? Half of these shows are off air. Either way, Kurt and Blaine WERE a couple and are most likely to become a couple again. Please don't make ignorant comments because you are most likely incorrect and disgusting. Sorry I'm not sorry.

  • Honey Bee - 11 years ago

Most of the tweens voting in this poll don't know who half these people are!!

  • Liz - 11 years ago

LOL @ the Spuffy shippers. The ONLY reason why Spuffy even happened in the first place was because Angel got his own show. Had he not left Sunnydale, Buffy and Angel's romance would have continued. And the only reason why Buffy gave Spike the necklace in Chosen was because she couldn't bare to lose Angel again. She was willing to risk losing Spike but not Angel. That says a mouthful. Spike was like Angel's replacement. Angel and Buffy are the iconic relationship of that show, not Buffy and Spike. Everyone who's worked on that show has admitted that Angel is Buffy's one true love, including Joss himself. Therefore, I have to go with Kurt and Blaine on this poll. Kurt and Blaine both love each other equally, even though they are currently apart. Spike was obsessed with Buffy but Buffy's heart belonged to Angel.

Spike and Buffy all the way forever. The fact that they were so perfectly matched even from opposite ends of the spectrum makes there love amazing. She grew to love him over the years but because of her friends being a large part of her life she denied what she was feeling. In the end she told Angel when he brought her the necklace that she had a champion and didn't need him. Spike fought so hard and proved over and over again that he loved her and would stay and fight for her till the end. He didn't want a soul till he fought for one. He wanted to give her was she deserved. There love is epic and always will be.

  • Jane - 11 years ago

Buffy and Spike for the win!!! This is a no brainer!!

  • Faith - 11 years ago

Jen, why don't you rewatch the show? When Buffy said to Spike "I love you" she really did mean that. Spike replied "No, you don't" he knew that he was dying and he wanted to set her free in that moment! Angel was Buffy's first love, but he wasn't her true love! her true love was Spike and in the end she did realize that in a very dramatic and passionate way , so you don't be silly to deny that.
Plus Buffy and Angel relationship was kiddie and boring romance. And he just left her, instead to find a solution of his "soul" problem. He preferred to sneak out, instead to fight for his love.

  • NightLady - 11 years ago

Jen, I’m amazed Spike’s word could carry more weight to you than Buffy’s words. Than the look on her face. Than the tears in her eyes. Than the writers’ intentions. Than the belief of A LOT of fans.
I'm Spuffy, not going to deny it, but I'm a BTVS fan first, and do you really think Joss Whedon would have intentionally ruined seven wonderful and meaningful seasons ending the show with his heroine lying to the champion who’s sacrificing himself, just out of pity?

  • m.cookieme - 11 years ago

Hardest voting decision I have ever made! :)
my two favorite couples of all time!

  • Leah - 11 years ago

Didn't Joss say on the commentary for Chosen that Buffy loved Spike in that moment? To play the romance of it all, because it is romantic? I think she loved him then, and he truly loved her. As for Kurt and Blaine, they're gonna get back together, they've made out, had sex, and sang a romantic duet in Kurt's head while they were broken up - it's just a matter of time.

  • CM - 11 years ago

Jen, there is a big old group of BTVS fans that disagree with what you just wrote - she didn't confirm that in the least. It can be your interpretation that she didn't love him, but it's many other people's interpretation that she did. It's not as clear as you implied.

  • Carol - 11 years ago

is a matter of time before Kurt and Blaine to get back together.

  • Guest - 11 years ago

Well Kurt and Blaine aren't even a couple so how are they in the poll...

  • Jen - 11 years ago

I'm confused how Spike and Buffy is even an option. In the final Spike confirmed that Buffy DIDN'T love him. Buffy's true love has always been Angel, but she accepted they could never be together. Spike and Buffy wasn't love, don't be silly! Spike was in love with Buffy, bordering on obsessive and possessive, but Buffy never returned his love.
