The Blue Angels are loud, obnoxious polluters, just like the people who go to the hydro-races. The amount of litter left behind at Lake Washington and Genesee Park after Seafair is disgusting.

Thanks goodness. Those planes have been terrorizing my neighborhood for too long. People don't seem to understand the message that the 'poor' part of Seattle gets when the military jets start flying low over the houses to remind us to keep in our place. I loved when the did it over Eliot bay that one year so that the rich people in Magnolia could get a taste of what it is like.

Balancing your budget does not say you can never go out to eat at Daniels Broiler for prime rib, it just means you can not go there every day with an yearly income of $26,000 with no regard to ability to pay and thinking you deserve it..... Invest for tomorrow, make tough decisions and live below your means and demonstrate compassion and prudent decisions!

This is exactly the problem. People say "Balance the Budget" but then they don't want to give up any of the things that they personally like.
You can't "Balance the Budget" AND pay for everyone's pet project/program/air show AND not raise taxes.

It is sad that the Blue Angels will not perform this year, Seafair will still be Seafair and the Hydro's are the cornerstone of the event. The Blue Angels were always the Cherry on top. There still is the Torchlight Parade and the Seafair Pirates and the other components that all make up Seafair.
Bring them back soon! (I am talking to you politicians!) Balance the budget like all of us have had to do....
