The lanes should be open to all drivers as a "general lane(s)" especially within 1-mile of a freeway interchange to allow drivers to have more and more safe options while driving. If AM commute traffic had 6 lanes to drive instead of 4 + 2-toll we would get on the freeways quicker and accelerate faster.
Slow drivers who do not pay attention should stay alert at "rapid speeds".
Do away with all "Diamond Lanes" and general surface Toll-Lanes to allow all Tax Paying citizens the proper access to their funds.

They are telling us that this toll lane idea is to ease traffic congestion; however it is just another way for them to raise revenue.

You people are ignorant. If you have a transponder and there's at least 2 people or more in your vehicle- the transponder/metro won't charge you! There is a switch on the transponder that lets you select how many people are in your car. I believe you pay a 40 dollar deposit for the transponder, and is all good.

These toll lanes are as stupid as the person who thought of them and his moron co-workers who agreed with him. Now I can't use the carpool lane at all. I am not going to get a transponder to use the lane a few times a year. On a recent trip from El Monte to LA a total of 5 cars passed in the toll lane, while I was stuck in the non carpool lane with 3 passengers. Just ridiculous.

Toll lane and car pool lanes are a rip off!!! We all pay to have them built and can only use them if we decide to pay more? Huh!
Just like car pool lanes this is just a feel good idea that doesn't work.
We have 5 lanes and can only use 4 because someone sold you on the idea that we will all ride together some day... It is not working.
When we are in the morning or evening rush hours all lanes are at a stand still. During the off hours we jokeying all over the remainng lanes trying to get somewhere. While the car pool lane is empty. This is costing us money and lives.
On the weekends its a a standstill in the car pool lane with all the family traffic, while the normal lanes are moving.
Then the idea that we should have a "slow" traffic merging into and out of the fast lane is stupid. How many times have you had someone drop in front of you going 10-20 MPH slower than fast lane traffic. This is a recipe for more accidents.
These lanes only benifit one group. The CHP and the never ending revenue collection made from writing 341.00 dollar tickets.
