Wowwww...You people who are team Mariah need to get a CLUE...she and Quad Are SOOOOO DAM GHETTO.. RATCHETT..MESSY and CLASSLESS...SMH..but I guess some people like their Country Ass Drama ...SOOOOOO Tasteless...Like really

  • Jen - 11 years ago

I think Quad and Mariah's mother need to stay out of the whole thing, Mariah will get along with everyone just fine if those two wasn't involed in the situation.

Fighting should never be an option - no matter your race or status in life. However I sympathize more with Mariah than slit - mouth - trashy - Very unattractive - classless - Ghetto Toya.
She carries gossip - instigates trouble, then pretends as though she is a damn victim.
Toya is absolutely correct when she proclaims that she is from the ghetto of Detroit ( trying to impress tv viewers that she "remembers her roots".
She is The very definition of someone who came from very little - happens to luck up on an educated man who can provide her with a better life - but she essentially has ABSOLUTELY NO CLASS OR ETIQUETTE - and no amount of money or a bigger house in a better neighborhood - will eradicate her ugly and low down ways.
Maybe a good ghetto ass beat down in an alley would straighten her out - once the person who whips her ass - warns her to watch her gossiping mouth and evil, sneaky ways.
Perhaps a good ghetto ass beat down to remind her that no one s going to Tolbert her Nast ways might
Set her ugly ass on track.
Sometimes people such as ugly Toya ONLY UNDERSTAND ONE THING - a good ass whipping.
She is the essence of ratchet.
I do not know who may have told her that she is cute r attractive.
She needs to get rid of some of Her excess teeth and then see if a good plastic surgeon in Atlanta can give her a top and bottom lip - respectively.
As I stated earlier - UGLY Beatch!
Team Mariah & Quad ----- all day !

Team Mariah!! Toya should never have come up on Mariah. Toya was looking for a fight.

  • Beloved - 11 years ago

This fight is further proof that having money does not equate having class. Mariah nor Toya are women to be proud of and appear to bring nothing to the plate other than their having been clever enough to get professional men to marry their rachet selves.

So, Toya told Mariah's secret ( a secret that Mariah herself shared and a secret that is true, BTW) to others in the beauty shop. Then, messy other females brought everything back to instigate. Mariah gets mad and wants to do something about it but trys to bottle up her anger and pretend nothing is wrong in order to get through her husband's birthday party. Enters Toya (who has been messy from the very first episode as far as I am concerned, and is the major instigator on the show, IMO) and won't "let" Mariah keep avoiding her. There were other choices people and I don't care what was said or what happened, under no circumstances should the wives of professional men end up fighting like alley cats at any party. To get into a public fight like that was wrong for so many reasons.

There was no justification for this fight, not even if it involved information about a child. These two women *wanted* to fight for whatever reason as the fight was really not about the "secret" since the only person who did not already know the secret was the child. To condone this fight because it involved a secret about a child is saying that Black women have *no* control over their emotions and/or reactions.

These women should have stopped to think of their husbands careers (as it is the husband's careers that pay for all those red bottoms, designer purses, clothes, luxury cars, help staff, private schools and mansions that these women so proudly flout) since neither thought of themselves nor their children, or they would have never engaged in a physical fight at a party attended by their husbands peers.

For all of their thinking otherwise, Mariah and Toya are more ghetto than Quad, whom we can all agree is truly a ghetto mess.

  • Geminihoney - 11 years ago

I'm not excusing Toya's part in this whole fiasco but as a Black woman, Mariah's behavior from the beginning of the day right up til her inexcusably late entrance to the party was an embarrassment to me. She left Kari to take care of all the party details & did not return her phone calls all day after she promised to help - then after all that, you're a hostess and you show up 2 hours late with an attitude and no apologies to your bored ass guests. Who does she think she is?? Then instead of apologizing for fighting & destroying things in your friends home, the next day you cancel all the money you paid for the party. If I were Kari, I woulda done the same thing - had her ass escorted out by the police. Mariah & her ratched mother (who hit Toya repeatedly in the head while Mariah already had her pinned down) came in ready for a fight that nite & their behavior was straight ghetto from the time they walked in the door...they should be ashamed.

I'm sorry....I meant to type Toya started it when she threw the glass. She asked to get beat out of her dress. Watch the footage, folks. This writer is team Mariah!!

  • Mheri Francis - 11 years ago

Keep in mind...Mariah touched Toya's hair, but keep in mind Toya asked for the fight when she threw the fight. I have not seen a fight like this since Joan Collins and Linda Evans on Dynasty. Ugly...very ugly. I am team Mariah. It is very painful to hear that someone talked about your child. Mariah tried so hard to suck it up, but Tacky Toya rubbed her last nerve when she decided to talk about Lucy. TOYA STARTED THE FIGHT...it's in the footage.

  • Sickofthebull - 11 years ago

I think that people forget that these women on tv are just like us they are human! I dont care whos married to who Toya was very wrong she threw the glass at her and she had to give it to her with or without the camera! Toya started this whole thing and wants everyone to think she did nothing wrong! Yes I would have done the same and I am sick of hearing what color she is who cares, if someone talk about your kid then threw a glass at you all hell would have broke thru stop throwing stones please!

  • ms mims - 11 years ago

I feel that toya was wrong for opening her mouth about some ones child! I fell like toya is very messy! They both were wrong for fighting! Mariah did try to avoid Toya! Fighting does not solve things.

  • Mheri Francis - 11 years ago

OMG...I was mortified. To watch two African American women fight in ball gowns was appalling. I felt so bad for the both of them. I know once the showed aired, they felt stupid. I wonder if the network coerced them to do this. Just soooooo sad. I am so happy the Dr, 's Jackie and Simone will question them about their behaviors in upcoming episodes.

  • KM - 11 years ago

This was the first & only episode I have seen. Therefore I believe that I can be objective. First, both women did behave badly. As we know, when we hold something in & try to cover it up, it will come out at the least expected time, & generally in an unbecoming manner, hence the fight. It is obvious that Mariah should not have tried to pretend to be ok. Though she did well by avoiding Toya. Now, let me just say this: Toya did not have to go to Kari, Chloe, & Duncan & plant a seed by talking about how Mariah's mother was comparing the homes. That was NOT what happened during the conversation between Mariah's mother, Simone, & Toya. I believe the perception is off & no one is looking at the background. Mariah's mother has just heard that Toya was commenting about her grand daughter's adoption. Mariah's mother is hurt & is trying to surpress her feelings (not very well) by not talking about the issue, but instead finding another reason to be upset with Toya, when she decides to point out that Toya did not say anything nice about the DECOR at the party/event that was held at Mariah's house. If you notice, they were talking about the DECOR, NOT the house itself. Toya took that conversation & involved Kari, Chloe, & Duncan. Then later, Toya takes the same conversation to Mariah IN FRONT OF Mariah's guests. Now that seemed like the building of drama in itself to me. Mariah arrived late and did not help with the party setup, but as a GOOD HOSTESS, I don't feel that Kari talking about Mariah to everyone at the party, especially Toya, was in good taste regardless of her frustrations. IF Kari was truly concerned, I think she should have pulled Mariah to the side for longer than 5 minutes to talk about it. And if Kari and Mariah are truly friends then Mariah should have been able to tell Kari what was happening. Simone knew that Mariah and Toya did not have such a good relationship, so I do not understand why Kari could not see that. I am not sure that ANY of the women were looking at the situation objectively, other than maybe Quad (ironically considering what she went through just to be allowed to come). Now as for the fight...when Toya walked up to Mariah, she touched her hair...they walked away from the guests, then Mariah touched Toya's hair. NEWSFLASH: TOYA PUSHED MARIAH'S HAND AWAY TWICE, THREW HER DRINK IN MARIAH'S FACE AND THEN MARIAH WENT TO HIT TOYA. So in the words of someone I know, "BOOM!" Toya started it. lol! Ok I apologize but I could not resist. I find it interesting how people (including the viewing audience) can gang up on a person. I am very interested to see what happens because, although yes this was embarrassing for the people throwing and attending the party, I believe this mishap can be easily resolved and reconciled. But I must comment on the two comments that I really did not like during this episode, which were from Kari and Duncan. Kari stated, "I'm so sorry about this. This is not how we act. This is not who we are." Kari...who is "we"? Also, the people attending your party are your "friends" they know "who you are and how you act." Furthermore Kari, why would you draw up a restraining order against your "friend" Mariah? The situation happened between Mariah and Toya. It is unfortunate that it was at your home, but she honestly did nothing to you but hurt your pride. Do they give restraining orders for that? Duncan, "Just think of how much her life is ruined now. Ayden's going to divorce her tomorrow. I guarantee it." Umm Duncan, really? You guarantee it? Ok so it was an embarrassing situation but what is more important? Your marriage and what your wife may be dealing with? or how you are viewed by your peers? Kari, I would pay attention to this if I were you. Bottom line: This is not something that can not be corrected. Perception shapes our decision making process. Ladies get it together so you can represent yourselves well. If you need a life coach, I am here! :D

It is sad to read posts that say Toya was wrong and Mariah was right. What is the world coming to that a person deserves to be double teamed for speaking the truth. What right does a mother have to be totally rude and threating to someone? The mother started that and the party was not the place to act like she did. Yes Toya probably should have also let it go till another time and Mariah should have nipped it in the bud and kept her hands off Toya. I saw Mariah being the agressive one. All u team Mariah fans should take another look at her actions and stop be cheerleaders for ignorant behavior bcuz that says a lot about you. If u don't have enough intelligence to come to a resolution without becoming physical the you are surely a poor soul and need Jesus. They both are to blame and so is Mariah's mother actually more so bcuz she is suppose to be the wiser of thebunch. How ghetto to hit someone ovr the head and brag about it. Digusting to say the least.

  • Elizabeth - 11 years ago

The whole incident was trashy. Those women don't have any social skill at all.
They don't even know how to speak English. English is my second language and I speak it better than them.
Toya, Mariah and Mariah's mother, shame on you!!!
Mariah.. If you didn't want anybody to know about your
    daughter business then you
should have kept it to yourself.

  • cynthia - 11 years ago

I can say this; that was a awful thing for Toya to do. I don't like her because broke the rules of friendship. Never, ever tell your friend business when it pertains to their children. I was adopted and parents talk and children can be very cruel to one another and say crazy nasty things without knowing facts. Toya came at Quad also in a very cruel and crazy matter. To consider her a fake and think she is better than everyone. She
forget the pendulum sings both ways. Things going great today but real life enters.

  • sick of stupid - 11 years ago

Where do these people go to school? Did they ever learn how to speak English. How embarrassing.
The "star" of the show was quoted as saying:
“It did start with me. Everything started with me,” she said. “She doesn’t know any better…. I was upset. I should have just not went to the party, and I could have really, truly prevented all of that.”

Should have just not WENT to the party OMG

I'm team Mariah ALL DAY LONG!!! Toya was very wrong!! Obviously some of you aren't parents because if you were you would understand where Mariah was coming from. A mother will protect her cub at any cost!! If Toya didn't know in the words of Kevin Hart She learned that day lol!!! Anyone with common sense knows you Do Not mess with a womens child/children, mother, money or man!!! In the words of NeNe Leaks Mariah is out of the hood but can still get hood!! TEAM MARIAH!!!

  • Mrs. Caldwell - 11 years ago

When you tell someone any of your personal buiness as a friend then that's where it should stay. Im sorry but as an African-American female myself i would have done same thing being Mariah was trying to avoid her in the first place. Toya had a problem with Lucy thats who she should have been talking because even if Lucy is older respect is a two way street so therefore Toya was wrong as hell and you see what happened. Team Mariah

REALITY TV!!!! HEARD THAT A LOT OF STUFF IS SCRIPTED. HOWEVER THE SITUATION COULD HAVE BEEN HANDLED BETTER. ONE THING THAT I HAVE OBSERVED ON HOUSEWIVES OF ATLANTA AND THIS SHOW, PEOPLE ARE SH#@T STIRRERS. ONCE THE SISTER TOLD THE TALE IT WAS ON. MARIAH'S MOM STARTED THE MESS SPEAKING TO TOYA UGLY. IF THE SISTER HEARD IT IN THE SALON WHY DIDN'T SHE ADDRESS IT THEN? MARIAH TOLD THE ENTIRE VIEWING COMMMUNITY THAT AYDEN WASN'T THE CHILD'S DAD. SO IT SEEMS SCRIPTED THAT A BIG FIGHT CAME OUT OF THIS. TOYA ONLY SAID AYDEN WASN'T THE CHILDS DADDY, SHE DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING UGLY SO ALL THE AGRESSION WAS UNNECESSARY. HOWEVER THIS WRITER HATES TO SEE OUR WOMEN PORTRAYED AS GHETTO ON TV. THAT WAS AN UGLY SIGHT SCRIPTED OR NOT. MARIAH'S MOM KEPT A LOT OF STUFF GOING, HITTING THE WOMAN WITH HER BAG,!!! SO UGLY AND UNNECESSARY. JUST UGLY, THIS WRITER FELT SO BAD AFTER WATCHING THE FIGHT. IS THIS THE ONLY WAY TO GET RATINGS.... HEARD THERE WAS A PETITION GOING AROUND TO GET THE SHOW REMOVED FROM TV. MAYBE IT SHOULD BE REMOVED. SO SAD

  • QUISH - 11 years ago

Toya is absolutley wrong, She is messy and tacky. People like her like to play these childish games and give these false persona's that they are better than others and that they are something they arent. She did the same thing to Quad, inquiring and trying to antagonize Quad about rejecting her wedding invitation. That wasnt the time nor the place. And if you really dont care about Quad why bring it up. As for Mariah, she spoke about Aydin not being her daughters real dad at the Doctors on the Doc party with her husband.....MIND YOUR DAYUM BUISNESS, wat is that to be talking about. Calling the next person hood and ghetto. when you are indeed all that and then some. Its a protocol to everything in life and talking about someones Child or Parent will get your ass whooped everytime. Or mayb she didnt learn that n the TRay or watever "HOOD" she from

I really was enjoying watching Married to Medicine until this last episode. Ladies anyone can be a woman, but you must have class to looked upon as lady and please at accordingly. To show your entire ass on television. Wow! Think about yourself respect, representing your husband, your husband's profession. Mariah came with the stuff along with her trashy non-classy mother. Hearsay is the worse case of trouble. Inviting Toya out to lunch in a public place where Mariah and Toya could have sat down and talked about what was said. Communication ladies! Not fighting like animals, especially at someone's house, at Mariah and Kari's husband's party with their colleagues! How embarrassing? Dr. Aydin you can do better! Toya keep your head up :) You thought you were talking to a lady (Mariah) with class asking a question, not bashing Mariah's mother, like the mother did to you. The mother needs to stay in her lane, that is off the set! Appear and speak only when required! You can not take the trash out of the dressed up woman, it comes out every time before trash day!

Mariah if you were so concern with your daughter finding out that she was adopted, you really did a good job of telling not just her but everyone else in ATL all over the world! Nice job “MOM”! To soon for fights! Fist fights at that? Wow!

Toya, I would like to know what your husband said about this dysfunctional family of Dr. Aydin's? You can not blame him for what he choose. He can definitely change it!

    Quad, please stay neutral.

Kari, address both of them Toya the lady and Mariah the woman.

  • indy - 11 years ago

What's more worse than seeing black women fighting at a party. Seeing two black rich women fighting at a party and acting a fool. Making a disgrace for all black women at that. They're both stupid. How and why did their husband marry them. They're off the chain. Not to mention your own mom is trying to get her own hits in. It's embarrassing, they both need a reality check and they both need to stop running their mouths and telling business one's business.

  • Beane - 11 years ago

Yes the party was not the place nor the time but when is a fight ever the right time. But yes Toya was wrong for approaching Marriah at that time for sometime that she called childish and than to react like that when Marriah clearly says now was not the time and we're not going to get into to the mother conversation cause it was sensitive Toya clearly didn't like the fact that Marriah didn't want to hear it but Toya act like she don't know what she set in motion I don't know what she got against Marriah but one u tell everyone that her husband adopted her daughter he's not her father than u run and tell Kari oh her mother is in conpitition with u she couldn't u have a nice house than to run to Marriah with that crap at the party and through wine on her cause of what she was saying if I could remember right u were stoking Marriah hair first talking bout she flip my hair and Kari was already upset with Marriah and not knowing what's really going on and used that fight to make an excuse to get at Marriah talking about educated everything that night Lucy, Toya, Marriah and Kari was misguided anger not one of them addressed the real issues so theres still hostilaty in the air more drama

  • Lavetris - 11 years ago

Toya could have waited for a different time and place to approach Mariah. Toya looks like that was her intent when she approach Mariah. That was not Mariah intent to embarrass or cause any shame on no one. Toya brought the issue there with her. I was misbehaver on both side but Toya just that type of person.

  • Lacey - 11 years ago

I feel the fight on national tv by black women just furthers the stereotypes that educated black women fight everyday. However, Toya was completely out of line for deciding that Dr.Huq's party was the place to approach Mariah about her mother. If she truly was "not ghetto" as she claims, she could have called Mariah after the party and ask to speak to her one on one. Also, for the record, Toya was the one who started the fight by throwing the champagne on Mariah. She knew that nothing good would come from doing that.

  • Felicia - 11 years ago

I was so disappointed at the unlady like behavior. It made me feel Mariah and Toya was poor representation of the African Americian and Medicine community. Not only the cat fight was tacky, the lack of apology to Kari was in poor taste.
I pray these ladies can work things out and show more class. The ladies on the show are roles models for women in all walks of life.

    From,
    Felicia
