"Man of Steel" by a mile! The character is timeless even after what, the fifth representation of the same story. It appeals to all men that deep inside everyone of us there is a Superman in conflict waiting to prove themselves. Look at the quality of the actors involved in the movies. Trek is the same plot about some supreme menace that Kirk is going to outwit. How many times have we seen that. The only thing of note are younger actors appealing to a younger audience. It's all about the money! Supreman is in everyone, men and women!

Ridiculously, I feel the need to beat Kal-El. I love Superman, but I love Trek more. I'm begging facebook friends to vote here.

I appreciate Kirk apologizing and and thrilled at the potential Star Trek has based on this trailer, but the moment that wins from both for encapsulating the theme of the movies is in the Superman trailer, specifically when young Clark Kent asks his (human) father "Why can't I just be your son?" and get the reply "You are my son." The movie promises to show us the other side of the previously unrelatable, God-like Superman as someone with feelings and impulses and confusion and weakness far better than any other rendering. That movie, more than Star Trek, looks like it has the real potential for taking us "into darkness" -- even better that the darkness is within a mythos almost the entire world thinks it knows. Nope, Superman wins.

No harm, but how anyone could rate the Man of Steel trailer above Star Trek is beyond me.
Star Trek wins here hands down. Not saying Man of Steele won't be a good movie, I'm excited for this too, but, if we are just judging the trailers.....Star Trek wins.
