Should something be done about shock video games like “The Boston Marathon: Terror on the Streets” and “Kindergarten Killer”?

Republicans are all about the 1st Amendment until it's something that offends them. Video games are a type of story telling. Stories are often a way that cultures work through pain. I think the problem is that our young people, primarily males, are not being taught to work through their emotions in ways that do not include aggression. If this video game were developed by someone with a different set of social skills, it might be a game based on helping the victims, running to the hospital to donate blood, giving people food, etc. And this social skills can be fostered in our young men.

I do not condone the creation of the game I think it is horrible, but if we say now that a game like this is should be stopped by the government. Then what excuse may the government come up with in he future to take away a more important piece of free speech in the future it is not the governments job to deter these acts but ours as the people not to support it.

This is a big reason why our young people are turning out the way they are; look at what they call "entertainment". These video games are so realistic, the kids get obsessed with them and then go out in the real world and want to live it out. Our lawmakers should be outlawing these things, not guns!
