Do you support a total ban on smoking in public places?

Yes. Smoking in public is not a case of someones individual choice to do what they want with their own body being affected.

    It harms other people.

Smoking in public is harmful to the public.
Its a public concern and should be banned everywhere.

    Its a simple fix.

I do not support a total ban. I hate the smell of smoke but, until its made illegal, smokers should be entitled to their rights as well. I think that there's more things for legislators to worry about then smoking. Farmers in tobacco growing states will loose their livelihoods until their farms can be repurposed. Lets take care of the bigger issues facing us first. Lets find funds for MS research. $3.8 million from the government means the MS Society needs to raise $250 million for research. Meanwhile, the government gives out $41.9 Billion in non-military foreign aid. With most of that going to countries who want to wipe us off the map.
    What was the question again?

I support a ban on smoking in PUBLIC Places.
I smoked for 37 years and hated the people that were against smoking. THEN I got lung cancer and beat it with the help of family, friends, doctors and nurses. Back when I started smoking it was cool at the age of 13. Back then I was probably smoking real tobacco with very few additives.... Then along came all the additives that made cigarette smoking the most addictive drug in the world. By this time I was hooked. I quit in 2001 when my wife-to-be said she wouldn't kiss me if I didn't quit. So, I quit cold turkey. The hardest thing I ever did in my life. Then 10 years later in 2011 I was told I had lung cancer. I said ok....let's get rid of it and they did.

Those of you that keep smoking and say you can't quit are lying to yourself. Those of you that say I don't care how I die are stupid. I appeal to those of you who are trying desperately to quit. You can do it. It is Mind over Matter..... I MIND and your life Matters to me. Quit smoking now. You will be healthier tomorrow.

Everything in moderation. NOTHING 'Over the Top'. Otherwise stop all vehicle emissions, volcanic eruptions, factory pollution, water pollution and all the other crap that we have to absorb. Most of it far more harmful than cigarette smoke
