Should the fan get credit for the catch or ridicule for bringing a mitt to a baseball game?

How about neither? They are a fan. As long as they don't put the glove where it doesn't belong, who cares?

I've always gone by 12 and under can bring a mitt to the game and if you (mitt or not) get a ball you give it to the nearest kid unless, you are in the bleachers at Wrigley and need to throw the ball back.

While you might want to ridicule him for bringing a glove to the park, he at least made great use of it.

Players also use gloves...... When the kids and I go to a game we always take a glove just in case we get a chance like the Yankee fan. I thought it was a great catch....................
