I think Shakira looks at the whole picture. At the end its about performance and voice. Looks plays a big part. Look at Britney Spears, no voice at all but she had the looks for what people were looking for. Just saying. I do like Cristina as well, but Shaq all the way.

Christina is a waaay better coach! I'm not just saying that because I'm a huge fan, I'm saying that because she does what she's supposed to do; teach and criticize the contestants for their good. She focuses on the talent. This generation is filled with talentless "singers" running around a foggy stage with a nice outfit. Talent is what you need to win because this is The Voice not The Look. If you are looking for fashion, watch a fashion show. Maybe Shakira could judge that instead. I do like Shakira, but not for this job. If you want a talent show that also focuses on appearance then watch The X Factor.

Wow what bullcrap Journalism and comments. Xtina doesn't care about the Contestants? That's why she shed tears for all 3 seasons whenever she had to send someone home. She doesn't care about her Fans? That's why she's the ONLY Judge who gets up out if her seat during commercial breaks to sign autographs for them. I am so tired of people painting this Diva image for EVERYTHING she does. To even just flat out ignore that she's an incredibly sweet person. It truly sickens me how the media does this to her. And EW always seems to have a problem with her. Just irresponsible and I will not be visiting a site or reading anything from EW if they are just going to ignore facts that are available on screen.

Christina all the way!!! The real coach is supposed to give critique when needed! That's what they are paid for - speak their HONEST opinion!!! I like Shakira's personality but sugarcoating comments aren't actually helping these contestants!!! Christina gives them a reallity check - always have, always will! I'm more than thrilled to see her back on Season 5!!! Really miss her on The Voice!

I'm sorry, I'm a fan f both, they're my favorite and beloved singers in the world. But I have to say that Shakira is a great singer, songwriter, and wonderful dancer. She's a performer and musician, much more than only hips and dancing. Besides all that, she is also a great person, always caring about others, intelligent and generous. I also disagree when people say that Xtina only cares about herself. She was great coaching in the 3 last seasons.

I don't disagree that Christina may be one of the greatest singers of our time but don't discount the rest of the judges or the new judges. Shakira s not just about the hips. She can also sing and write. She is a lot less diva and seems to have chemistry with the rest.
