People, Michael Jackson may be known as the King of Pop NOW...but back in the day, he was the real King of R&B. Just go listen to the Off The Wall Album...then come back and vote.

Usher! We can't deny that usher knows how to put it down on r&b songs. James Brown didn't dub him to be "the son of soul" for nothin. Even he knows. Usher!!!!!

Marvin Gaye or, for those of us who TRULY KNOW REAL R&B, WILLIAM "SMOKEY" ROBINSON. PERIOD! Now marinate on that. Peace

That's cool that you've got Marvin on the list; however, the list does not exist without Barry White, Teddy P, Gerald Austin and Levi Stubbs.

Gilber, MJ is rock, pop, and soul (The P in the title King of pop stands for POPULAR). I agree with Reginald. It does not matter matter, EVERYONE is good at what they do. We just have too many great R & B to name just one.

What the heck happened to Teddy P? Michael is Pop; RJ came late in the game, not to mention some of the others. You picked Usher over Barry White? Whod did this poll anyway? Idiots????

How on earth did you guys leave Teddy Pendergrass off this list. Shame on you, MJ is king of POP. He's in a category all to himself.
